Hello.

A  ASRock J5005-ITX and J4105-ITX  review
https://androidpctv.com/review-asrock-j5...j4105-itx/

- Have some problems with 4K video output
- Audio 7.1 is not perfect with some formats

- Good performance compared with Apollo Lake
- Limited RAM compatibility
- PicoPSU don't work

The boards need a BIOS update and a update for the HDMI 2.0 chip iTE IT66317.

Edit: update  v.1.30 available

Is this true ?

Yes, with same PicoPSU unit working fine in my Apollo Lake setup in the Gemini Lake setup don't work... i am waiting for a Asrock response. Maybe a BIOS thing...?
I need to test with more PicoPSU models.... but for now don't work, it's a shame.
Do you have a full 24pin version?

Yes, i tested with various models similars to this model:
https://www.amazon.com/DC-ATX-160W-Switc...00PI6Q6K4/

This models works with asrock apollo lake motherboards, not with the new gemini lake models... maybe the ddr4, new power states (i don't se differences in the documentation), some bios issue (still v1.0)?...
I tested with 2 different 19V power bricks.
Asrock support informed me the J5005 doesnt support legacy boot so this means installing windows 10 from scratch on an unpartitioned drive or converting the boot partition to UEFI using the following from dos command may work ?

mbr2gpt.exe /convert /allowfulos.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows...mbr-to-gpt

Then you should see your sata boot drive in the bios Boot priority options.

Hmm if this is true than this board is POS.
PicoPSU-90 12V DC-DC ATX mini-ITX 0-90W Netzteil power supply, should work.

Also can confirm that a pico psu 150xt works fine with my J4105-ITX
Patched kernel available at https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105887

Hello

Good news, ASRock have a new BIOS that fix the HDMI 2.0 4K problems and 7.1 audio, now works fine:
