(2020-10-14, 22:58)nunojsa Wrote: [ -> ]Yes, I did try to change it even though I don't really know which value should I set. I tried VLC and it did not work. Does the user agent has any effect on loading the channel list? Anyways I downloaded my m3u file and changed the settings to point to local file and the channels loaded but then I cannot play any channel. I see the same error "ERROR: CCurlFile::FillBuffer - Failed: Failure when receiving data from the peer(56)".

@SpaceBallz is right, my m3u link works perfectly fine on windows but I can confirm it fails in 2 different linux machines (an arm one and a x64) and on Firestick...

Just to add one more thing. I don't really believe my problem is related with Cloudflare since I can access trakt.tv for instance without having to enter any captcha...
I am pretty sure you will find your iptv provider use cloudflare. I can open any link I want in a browser, its purely just kodi on the afore mentioned operating systems. I have even tried curl on the same OS that kodi is failing (Coreelec) via ssh, and curl downloads the m3u fine

Well, I'm nor arguing since I do not really know, so yeah, you are probably right. The million dollar question here is, is there any workaround for this? Is this something that should be fixed on kodi?

When you are able to access this sites from a browser or directly from your shell and not from kodi, it looks like there's something that could use a fix... @phunkyfish any idea about this? Or is this not really related with the iptv simple clien addon (maybe it's something with the CCurlFile class)?

There's definitely something going on. Happening with multiple m3u's, multiple providers but only seems to affect kodi on certain operating systems. Nextpvr is acting weird too through kodi. It sucks because I love using iptv in kodi hopefully there's some resolution to this soon.
Hi there,

I have 3 KODIs using this PVR client, all 3 stopped.

I tried changing the url, changing the DNS, nothing works... If I get the URL and try it on pc, or mobile, it works, it only does not work with kodi.

Does anyone have any idea? Thanks in advance!
The issue was already created here... let's see how it goes!

Cool! thanks!

Meanwhile, is there any other addon for IPTV that is simple and work fine as this one?

Not that I'm aware of. But if someone knows some addon to workaround this, I would also like to know...

If have a option for choosing output type, choose hls.
TMDB scraper was having a similar issue, here's the explanation https://www.themoviedb.org/talk/5f8807a3...0033b0f206

I assume this is the same issue that is causing m3u's to fail, i.e. Providers are using HTTP/2 without SSL.
I have found a temporary workaround but it will depends on how your provider accept connection using "httpS".
Since the problem is with http2 protocol the URLs should work with https connection.

1 - Download the m3u file using your regular brownser.
2 - Open the file on your notepad (it is a simple text file).
2 - Replace all URLs from "http://" to "https://"
3 - Replace (if there is the port number on the URL) from ".com:80" to ".com:443"
4 - Save the file in a place where you can access from Kodi (can be on Kodi itself or in your network).
5 - On Kodi Simple IPTV Configuration change the m3u URL from "Internet" to "Local Connection"
6 - Select the file that you have saved.
7 -Restart

If your provider update the m3u file you will have to do all over again.

CoreELEC have pushed this fix in the latest nightly and it works, might be worth checking to see if it's also in the latest LibreELEC nightly if you don't want to wait.

Thanks mate, how does the fix work on coreelec? Does it require the advancedsettings entry or not? Just interested to know whilst I'm trying to find out if anything has been done on the libreelec nightly...
