RE: Aeon Nox 5: SiLVO - flhthemi - 2016-06-03 I can't figure out what I need to do or if it's by design, to get my submenu panel to show up? This is using the latest git release for Jarvis. EDIT: Never mind, the dummy figured it out... RE: Aeon Nox 5: SiLVO - ultimate1 - 2016-06-03 (2016-06-02, 23:02)SimonC Wrote:(2016-06-02, 22:50)ultimate1 Wrote: Hi Mike! I've dropped the basic aeon nox platform for yous and have a question about the background images I want to change. When I go into the option to set up the main menu and select background, I pick select background/single image and it takes me to my file manager. In the basic skin I was able to pick a path to choose from, which at the time was an sda card. On my build that I downloaded from a choice from the ARES builds, I see the other items have 'special://' as the first words in the "select background " choice....How do I get into my C drive or sda card to choose my images? RE: Aeon Nox 5: SiLVO - ultimate1 - 2016-06-03 does each picture for each menu item need to be in a different folder? What about putting my finished build in a zip file and making a url for it? Thanks! i figured it out but still need an answer for the zip and url, please RE: Aeon Nox 5: SiLVO - BobCratchett - 2016-06-03 (2016-06-03, 14:40)gergeo Wrote: how can i update my skin with the latest changes ? Install the latest version over your current version. See post #2 (FAQ's) for installation instructions. It's not uncommon to have to wait a day or more to get a response to some queries, and bumping your own question that quickly won't lead to a quicker reply RE: Aeon Nox 5: SiLVO - Mario S. - 2016-06-03 (2016-06-03, 07:47)mikesilvo164 Wrote: Some new addition on Git: looks great Mike RE: Aeon Nox 5: SiLVO - ultimate1 - 2016-06-03 i took a build with your silvo mod skin from ARES (a site that has many builds), changed it to what I wanted on the skin and loaded it to a usb stick. When I loaded it to another box, the confluence skin came up..... Do I need to start with your skin and build it? RE: Aeon Nox 5: SiLVO - BobCratchett - 2016-06-03 Build from ARES aren't supported here, as they invariable violate this forums piracy policy (wiki) - part of the forum rules you agreed to when you signed up to the forums. If you have problems with their builds, go and ask them. Equally, if you're wanting to create a build in the vein of the build hosted by ARES, you're unlikely to get support here (and you're very unlikely to get support in this thread, where 'builds' are considered a naughty word precisely because of 'builds' provided by people like ARES.) What is supported here is mods - the difference between a mod and a build is, keeping things simple, mods tend to be modifications of the source of the skin, don't violate the forums policy or the license the skin is released under, tend to (though it's not required by the license) give full credit to the original authors (just as this mod of Nox 5 gives credit to BigNoid), and are generally forked from and maintained on GitHub. Builds, on the other hand, tend to be zip files containing a slightly modified skin and a copy of various folders from the users userdata (wiki)/addon_data folder. If you're interested in created a mod of Nox 5: Silvo, I'll be quite happy to point you in the direction of the developers docs for the Skin Shortcuts script (which is used to manage the main menu including its backgrounds, and has functions available for including default backgrounds for example.) If you're really wanting to create a build, you'll find much more support elsewhere. Edit: Should have included this info in the first place, and my apologies that I didn't. The other thing that is also supported, which I believe many consider to be a 'build' (though it really isn't, and simply calling it so immediately limits the support that they get) is simply copying their customised menu (including backgrounds) to another of their own systems. The only supported method for doing that is detailed at Skin Shortcuts FAQ: Copying menu to another system. RE: Aeon Nox 5: SiLVO - BobCratchett - 2016-06-03 (2016-06-02, 23:59)brochild Wrote: Forgive me if this question has already been asked and/or has been answered. In addition to the playlists solution proposed by Mike, you can also use video nodes (wiki) to split up your library. With that option, you can use the Skin Shortcuts: Add To Menu content menu add-on (see my signature) to add the node, along with the sub-nodes as submenu items, to your main menu. (With the context menu add-on installed, go to 'Videos', highlight your new node, bring up the context menu, select 'Add to menu', choose 'Main Menu' as the target, then whatever subnode you want as the default view for the main menu item. The library node editor tries to make it easy to manage your library nodes within the Kodi GUI. I saw earlier in the thread that installed the recordicons separate would make it work. I tried that and still get the same error. Thanks RE: Aeon Nox 5: SiLVO - ziggy231 - 2016-06-04 Is there no way then of playing trailers that slide in from the left or in a windowed area or is this something that is not possible with silvo ? Can someone help me out please Many thanks Ziggy RE: Aeon Nox 5: SiLVO - GTunney - 2016-06-04 Mike I broke it especially for you :-p on the Jarvis version. If you don't have enable full Colour system bar for the submenu then it vanished completely. I'm using Jarvis, if I set it to full colour it's fine. RE: Aeon Nox 5: SiLVO - ziggy231 - 2016-06-04 Hey Mikesilvo I managed to get the white theme working on silvo and looks great Below are the files you need and once unzipped put these in your skin folder in the media and colour directories respectively and then go into settings and change theme to white and colour to white and bravo, it's just a matter of then making your own small adjustments to your taste, have a try and see what you think.... http://www.mediafire.com/?d4gjf8k4mb4268c http://www.mediafire.com/?qs6g2dfoeh48b86 Thanks Ziggy RE: Aeon Nox 5: SiLVO - mikeSiLVO - 2016-06-04 (2016-06-03, 19:35)Mario S. I just wish the build crap would go away I would help everyone with almost anything if it weren't for these stupid builds and people posting things on websites that promote those crappy addons instead of on these forums... Also not to mention that time I spent helping someone only to see them give the modifications I did for them to someone else and take credit for it kinda soured things from that moment on... Nighty night all RE: Aeon Nox 5: SiLVO - taylormia - 2016-06-04 Hi mikesilvo, I'm using version 5.8.6-3.0.3 of the skin. When I get to the video info screen of a movie, the selection highlights "Add to List" button automatically. (see screenshot below) I would like for the "Play" button to be highlighted instead. Is this possible? How? Screenshot Thanks. |
