Had same issue with 3.0.0 and 3.0.1. Just downloaded devel-20130420161031-r14058 build for Arctic (both load the fglrx 8.97.2) and this one seems to work fine... Later I've noticed the official relase 3.0.1 for Arctic, that I am using at the moment - it works great as well.
As the arctic build does not detect the wireless (that I don't use in my HTPC setup anyway), I would put my money on it causing the problems.
