well like david said the only cards that support dts hd and truehd on linux right now are nvidia cards. either fermi based gt430+ or ION2. if you want hd bitstreaming on the i3 you're going to need to switch to windows. how you may have had dts bitstreaming to your tv i have no idea. what model is it?
post a debug log of dts playback on both eden and ae and maybe it can be determined what the issue is.
