I'd suggest revert the xml files to their previous state and uninstall. Uninstalling the add-on and install the new mod. version from zip file worked just fine for me, as you can see in the image below:

Just as you mentioned, I hope also we can get Rob's work on github to facilitate delivering the changes to the masses. Thank you for your hard work setting up the wiki for this magnific add-on!
