ok by xbmcmachineip I mean the IP address of your xbmc (windows) machine which is 192.168.0.xxx as you started above. So in the address bar of the web browser on your tablet put http://192.168.0.xxx:8080 (I assume you have referred to xxx for security reasons).
I assume you have both the tablet and the laptop in the same IP range, ie they are both 192.168.0.something.
Yatse has a setting here you can tell it to ONLY try to connect when it is attached to a certain SSID by wifi, but don't worry about that at present.
Some routers have a setting that stops machines on your lan connecting to each other, it only allows access to the outside world. On mine it is called "wireless client isolation" - yours may call it something else, or may not have that setting at all. Obviously if you do have a setting like that, you need to turn it off.
Anyway, small steps. Try the http://192.168.0.xxx:8080 in your android web browser.
Taking another look at fing, get it to scan your lan.
Then click on the xbmc machine and you'll get a screen that includes "scan services" - tap it.
It should come back with a list that includes port 8080, and there will be an arrow to the right of that, tap the arrow and it should offer to open the service in a browser. Tap that. What happens?
