I totally, completely agree with you, and that's why I've spent the time and effort to set up the build, using your step-by-step guide. As you can see from my earlier comments, I totally gave the build excellent accolades on output quality, and ability to use the graphics card to it's fullest.
Quote:To me, the minor quirks of DSPlayer are worth the compromise for the high-end audio and video you get. I wrote the set-up guide and know quite a bit about madVR. It is as good as it gets in HTPC rendering - as good as a $1000 Oppo Blu-ray player. Skins should function as they do before, perhaps with the exception of screen captures because madVR launches like an external app and takes over the screen focus.
I can handle minor quirks, and even not being able to use the screenshot function. But having the ability to manage submenus just up and disappear, that is too much. I do not know if it is a skin problem, or a build problem. Bottom line, it's a problem for me, and at this point today, I've really reached the end of the line. Tomorrow may be a different story, but for now, I'll stick with plain Kodi and Mikes' modded Aeon Nox skin.
For the record, I am in NO WAY bashing DSPlayer build, not at all! I'm just bashing my motivation level, at this point in time, to be able to tolerate the quirks anymore today...
