On my setup it's in sync. I'm just wondering if it's something peculiar to the files you're playing.
Upload one of your problem videos, I'm curious to try it. (You can truncate the video with ffmpeg if necessary).
Have you tried old versions of Kodi? Like 17, or 16. If old versions work, it would help the developers if you could identify the version where the problem was introduced.
