I can't see how it would be a bug. The projector is just projecting the brightness of the pixels on screen. A fullscreen, dark image must cause the iris to clamp down. Or there are enough bright elements in the skin against a darker background to cause this effect to occur. I don't think that is something that could be controlled by Kodi. There is nothing special about Kodi's skins compared to any other media manager out there.
