@ilomambo now we're getting somewhere thanks for this input. But maybe don't only think what XBMC/KODI offers to you technically, but also why and how you use it and what you "experience" using it. As you could imagine we tried to not be to technical/geeky with the name as well (even though it originated from the remote symbols somehow), or we would have looked for acronyms or alike again.

I think Kodi is great, for me the most important feature is the ability to centralize all types of media I've got on my home network and to access as well a lot of media out there in the vast web. and the ability to adapt to any new media that may come in the future, or media that has not yet been incorporated (like eBooks).

We are aware that XBMC foundation is working with a professional company to define the logo (amet said so in another thread), this thread is a considerate deference that Ned Scott has with us in this forum, and it is welcome. I any of this input is useful, then I am glad you can use it.
