Yes, but Kodi 18 is translating HDR colors to "SD", colors look good and not washed up anymore.  

I'm still not sure if it will be equal in colors with the "original SD version". This seems the next big confusion in the HTPC era. Original 4K BDs ara all HDR, so it must be converted previously (re-encoded), or "on-the -fly" by the HTPC/software to SDR. So the quality and originality of the colors (that affects the whole PQ generally) will be altered posteriorly and artificially. But both still ain't exactly the "original" SDR, as there is on the "stock" FHD SDR BD sources. 
Till I won't be convinced an assured by the conversion quality and won't have a HDR capable TV and both HTPC, i will stick to the FHD SDR versions for most of the time.
