Hi guys! I'm actually new on the forum but I want to share something with you.
Toyota12303's skin is really unbeatable and fascinatingly good. I have been using his skin since 2022.

Guys, I have modified his skin and made some changes to it:

- Changed the font to the original PS4 UI font
- Added flow theme background on login screen and settings screen.
- Improved and extended the PS4 Login sound.
- Worked on some bugs.

I know it's been a long time since anyone has been active here, but I just want to share my modification for your enjoyment!

If you want to delete this post, I'll not hesitate to accept it. It's your choice.

Anyways, I have provided the link(s) below to a 3rd party client (Google Drive) to host the files.

Hello again everyone, I'm back with an update.

The PS4 Skin is now updated to work on Kodi's latest version as of the time of writing this post, which is version 21 (Omega)

Now the installation error has been fixed. But make sure you check everything and make sure you're ready to go.

If you find any errors or problems, please post it here with details so that it can be looked onto.

Following bugs are found in the above modified skin:

- If you turn on background music and log off, the startup sound will not play.

- When background music is enabled, navigation sounds are inaudible. (I know this is an old bug, but everyone is trying to fix that maybe)

- On Kodi 20.0 and above, If you try to exit the app using the PS4 UI navigation (by going up and then selecting the power icon), Kodi may not exit but it stops all the function. You need to exit manually. (I think that this is a Kodi bug and hence there is no connection with bugs in the skin...)

- On Kodi 18.0, the skin doesn't shows the boot logo (PlayStation logo) when Kodi is started, making it to skip to the login screen.

So, if you find new bugs in this skin, you can contact to Toyota12303 or post your problem here, the people in this thread may solve the bugs.

Sorry for any kind of inconvenience, because I have a lot of work to do and hence I'm not currently fixing bugs, So..

SOLUTION FOR BUG!!!

I have another information to share with you all.

A bug somehow disabled the navigation sounds when the PS4 Background music is turned on in Skin configuration settings.

Here's a workaround for this:

• First, go to settings in Kodi and then in system.
  
  
• Then head to the Audio section.
  
  
• Then select Play GUI sounds option and set it to Always in the dialog menu.
  
  
• Head back to the settings home and go to Interface settings > Configure skin and turn on Background music option at the last of the options list.
  

It should now play navigation sounds along with the PS4 home background music.

Make sure you do all the steps carefully.

If I guided you incorrectly or something happened or even I misssed something, please let me know the issue by posting it here.

This is just a workaround and it would maybe get fixed permanently...

Some bugs are still not fixed nor there are any workarounds for those.

If possible, I'll try to fix those bugs as soon as possible...

Hey buddy, as you told your notification text wasn't showing, but it seems to be fixed in your latter post.

Sorry, I replied late as I was busy with other things.

I would suggest you to update Kodi to the latest version (v21 Omega) and download the latest skin given above in my post.

If you like or want to use Kodi 18 Leia further, I have provided for its links too, just check it out on previous pages...
