+1 For me it's critical. I will not switch skin when it's not implemented.

I will add this in next update of my mod :

Awsome! Thank you very much.

Option to remove the icons next to names in menu would be great. Not a fan of it but i see some people like it but having an option to turn it off would be great. I also like dvd/blu-ray type of cases over posters. Some sort of texture or look over them would make them stand out too.

1 - SUper Favourites addon. It does all of that and alot more. *Mod edit removed link to trash site*

2 - Just press the ... at the top of menus to go back a page.

3 - Bring up context menu and mark it as watched. May need Trakt, def worth looking into though.

It works awesomely! Thank you very much! It's so much better like that then the original skin. I can finally see the number of episodes in the list again.

Also like the fact I can arrange the main menu items love the mod update.

I've been using Estuary on all the nightly builds since the start and the only thing that I would like to see is a back and home button on every page as it's easier to navigate that way.

Please implement AGC for the audio.
Automatic Gain Control. So the audio level is always the same.

Thanks

I agree when I am trying to trouble shoot why items do not show up correctly in Kodi it is very helpful to have the info.

1] I would like to have option to customize homescreen. I dont need all collections showed by default, and also I dont like the poster view, so would be good to allow
- which types (newest, unwatched, random) collection are enabled for home screen
- select view method (fanart, poster, list)

2] On the list view - as I missing smooth scrolling text, I dont need two (?!) pictures of selected movie (plus background), I need to know Genre of the movie, ratings!

From the skin I have feeling: too much images, at the expense of usefull nice organized informations: Smart lists with infobox: plot, genre, rating and length of film. I am not using Kodi on tablet; I dont need and dont wanna so much fancy big rectangles, wasting space on screen..

I add some info to this example, to get better image what I mean (important information by green)

but to be honest, it still looks like the crippled little brother of

That UI of this View is quite perfect. It doesnt need "reskin" like "we add more images for you, and take important info away.

I've mentioned this in a separate thread, but for the sake of this request and a few others going unnoticed i'll try here and see how i go.
I know you're all very busy, so i'd like to just say a simple congratulations on the new skin, thanks and to keep up the good work.

1. The submenu:
the fact that the sub menu is now set aside as tiny icons (i can hardly make out what some icons are they're so small) in the top right corner of the homescreen are making the user experience and WAF pretty frustrating in my opinion... They're overshadowed by the large widgets, and just feel out of place. Almost like an afterthought. I know not everyone will agree with my opinion and that's fine, but hear me out.

The main menu is verticle, it's a list, it's simple and easy to understand.
when i first used the skin, i expected to simply click on a menu item and be presented with a submenu containing all the relevant functions for that item...
Instead, clicking movies took me to the movies library, "which is fine" i thought...
until i realized that the sub menu had become 'unimportant' little icons, lol.
Then i thought ''That's ok, i'll just go in the settings and change that" needless to say there was no option to do so...
So I was stuck with a vertical list menu, with a horizontal sub menu made up of icons.... Try explaining that to the wife and watch for the evil stare that you get in return.

If this is preferred by some, that is fine... But can we get an option to allow the submenu to be be shown "in-line" instead of being separate icons? see example below:

Image

2. Customize home menu:
I know this has been mentioned countless times so i'm just gunna go stand in line.
But there really needs to be a way for the user to customise the home screen, even if that means simply being able to "shift" the location of certain items up or down and select what widgets they prefer to display in whatever order. For example, i like Live TV to be at the top of the list, as it's the most used item in the menu, it makes sense for it to be there. and i don't need to see "in progress" movies as a widget, it's not important to me. I'd like however to be able to see what's on at the cinemas, what's trending... all that sort of stuff.

It might not sound like much but it's small things like this transform the user experience from OK to great.
You only have to look at the mods appearing catering to this demand. It just seems silly to me to install kodi, have a great looking ui, but immediately look for an alternative or have to install a hacky moded version of the ui because the stock skin is lacking.

These are really two major things i think need to addressed that will make kodi very appealing out of the box.

# Aesthetically: You seemed to have ticked all the boxes.
# Navigationally: It's almost there... But we need to move away from the mix and match of horizontal and vertical lists and icons... Confluence was a navigational nightmare, i'd hate for this skin to follow any of those traits.
# Customisation: Seriously lacking. Although the user experience has to be somewhat "locked down" to ensure a solid overall experience out of the box, i feel that the majority the people using Kodi have come to expect the freedom of customizing their experience to some degree to suit their needs.

It's very easy to dismiss that and just say "use another skin" but there in lies the problem.
i feel people gravitate toward certain skins for the very reasons i mentioned above. Much better to cater for it to some degree out of the box, you only have to read a few pages of this thread to see that's what people want out of a skin...
otherwise I feel people will install kodi and spend countless hours looking for the user interface that ticks these boxes, once again... which I feel is exactly what most people's experience was when it came to confluence.

I know a lot of these features will probably come with time, and I certainly hope all these feature requests don't discourage any developers in any way.

Again,

Thanks and keep up the great work. Absolutely sh*ts all over confluence.

following on from my above post... At the risk tiring you all with suggestions, I've put together a mock up of how the submenus/widgets could possibly be enhanced. this includes the submenus remaining as icons, but putting them in a more suited place.

In this image, obviously widgets have been resized to better fit the layout, also a different layout example for a widget.
The submenu is placed vertically next to the main menu. Pressing 'right' would take you directly to it.
Image

Once on the submenu, the main menu is cleared and shows only the text of the particular highlighted submenu item. with the icon of 'movies' still present, shows you that you're in the movies submenu, and an arrow to show that pushing left or back will take you back to the main menu.
Image

Just a suggestion of course, but to me this is so much more organised and with the widgets resized and aligned to the right, the widgets become less obtrusive and more pleasing to look at.

Could be good to have UI working good on non 16:9 screens...
