XBOX Some Love for the XBox Devs & XBox Kodi Version
#16
After looking at the XBOX-Discussion today i simply would like to thank you for all your efforts.
Been using Kodi for a couple of years, after trying lots of tools including several upnp-tools and immediately my problems with streaming to the living room were all gone.
Please never stop!

I'd also like to add my thanks to the devs. With the new Xbox Kodi update I was able to add my music and movie libraries from a USB drive. The sound is great particularly considering the early alpha stage. Thanks again for you hard work. It is great to see Kodi on the xbox!

Me too! I want to THANK all devels work to migrate Kodi to UWP and to XBOX, I registered to beta testing to help as far as I can, I know devels will make, as always, a perfect work to someday have a perfect Kodi on the Xbox, closing the circle making Kodi once again back to its origin as XBMP on Xbox 1 Big Grin

4k, HDR, refresh rate, hd audio, ... many things missing, but many things are working and more will work, its an alpha. Only thing I wish is they disable addons outside official repository on UWP.. I'm tired of reading on other forums where people only think on kodi as a piracy portal, when it's real power is the media player and media library.

only audio passthrough raises questions. all other will not cause issues. At least refresh rate mode switching was tested and works well (hopefully including 4k)

Yeah, I read it, haven't tried nightlys yet, I meant those were things missing on the Kodi I could check on the Xbox, but I know most of them will be done by devels, we just have to wait, help as far as we can with suggestions, testing and that, and sooner or later we will have Kodi on Xbox.

Thnx again!

I am KODI newbie and even it is in ALPHA stage, already now it is the best app I ever had on my Xbox. Thanks to Kodi team for this and thanks to you for this thread. People are often ungrateful...

I'd also like the developers for all their hard work. I even donated to show how thankful I am.

I've been using Kodi on RPi3 and Win10 PCs and installed it also for my family. Now since the RPi is not powerful enough I was looking for a properly supported HW to replace it with. What I wanted to say is I bought an Xbox One X and the only reason I chose it over PS4 is Kodi. Microsoft should realise how important Kodi is, support it as much as they can so that the Xbox userbase can grow. People have been complaining about the lack of exclusive titles on Xbox but for me Kodi is the holy grail and I really wish I could let Microsoft know, how important it is. Maybe they might support the development quite a lot more.

I’m also very happy with the Kodi Xbox release. I used a htpc for several years for movie playback in the living room. So a big desktop next to the tv. Now with my Xbox one x I have everything I need and the pc can take his pension.

The alpha built does everything I need and now with remotes working I can’t think of a single thing I’m missing because i don’t use that many add one. Only for subtitles and that also works.

Oke maybe 1. The hardware acceleration for x265 hevc files. Because my old Xbox can’t handle it.

So big thanks for everybody who made it possible and the great support.

A happy Kodi user.
