Hello gentlemen,
I am facing exactly the same problem as originally mentioned. With Ubuntu 11.04 there is no IR device listed. Is the same problem also in this release? Do I need to downgrade to 10.04?
Thanks, Martin

I have no clue how to get this to work in ubuntu, other then that it works in lucid. Me and OpenELEC donated an asus eee box eb1501p to the lirc dev's so they could solve the problems in newer kernels. So when it becomes available in new kernels a small thanks through donation would be nice. Until then i would suggest using OpenELEC or lucid.
