I would love to use Trakt, I have set up an account, downloaded the addon on my XBMC (latest version), entered the login info (double checked) and enabled it.

However, I've seen a number of (perfectly scraped) TV Shows and movies now, but nothing is showing up in my account, I have to manually add them.

What can I do?

ah I see - again great work definitely keep it up, I love last.fm and I already love this (checking what my friends watched )
Btw is the xbmc addon from the repos ok, or is it recommend to include some custom/other repo/addon?

@Ghostface the addon from the official repo is the best version. The github source can be used for beta plugin versions, but I would just recommend using the official release and auto updating to stay current.

Hi,

I think I've found a bug in the new version of the addon (v0.1.0). There is no problem with accents (like in the first versions), but the way it get fixed broke the thetvdb id search. I have this log with latest version:

yeah like i posted in my edit, I found that too, however it doesn't always match the amount of comments - maybe there is some sort of caching issue?

It's the # of comments for that and all "sub" things.

So "Awesome TV Show X" has a badge showing 10. If you click on that.
"Awesome TV Show X" has 2 comments.
"Awesome TV Show X - Season 1" has a badge showing 5.
"Awesome TV Show X - Season 2" has a badge showing 3.

Click on season 1.
Season 1 has 2 comments.
Season 1 - episode 1 has a badge showing 3.

Click on Epsiode 1.
There will be 3 comments.

I can see this getting very unwieldy when people start making 1-2 comments per episode in a TV show that has 14 seasons and 200+ episodes (Simpsons, South Park).

Interesting. I thought I caught that by url encoding the value before querying for the TVDB id. What scraper do you use btw? I'll see if I can replicate the issue with that scraper.

I'm using the TheTVDB scraper for the shows nfo (I think is the best).

It has to be the lower function, because without that it worked well (the db search I mean).

So a couple things here. Whatever scraper you're using has put the year of the show as 1601. That might be one issue, but the other issue that I'm still working on is the http api query with unicode chars in it. It's the same issue maddogo is having.

I think the 1601 is a problem of the trakt api. The number isn't show in the tvshow or in the episode.
I use the tvdb scraper with settings (de) and make an export to separate files on a special pc, only for scraping shows and movies. All the files are stored on a NAS.

So the real using xbmc pc's in the living room, kitchen and bedroom update the db on startup from the nfo.

Also the 1601 is show as for the tvshow "Küstenwache". The same scraper is using tvdb with language settings "de"

Additional information.
I scrape both tvshows again. Now both show the 2011. I scraped the tvshow last monday, possible that an error on tvdb was available or however something was wrong.

Now I think the problem is the problem with the special characters that you describe.

I hope you can fix this behavior.

Ok cool. Yeah there's no way I can get the year wrong. It's a straight call to XBMC and there's pretty much no translation on my end. As for the unicode characters, it's a work in progress and I'll let you know when it's ready!
