Release Aeon Nox: SiLVO
Hi,

For script.skin.helper.service, the problem solved itself. The problem was that it was restarting OSMC.

Another question. Is it normal to see the mixture of the two colors chosen here (see pics 1),

In other places as here (see pics 2)

Hi,

Select Conditional Weather on configuration but also select a set of Weather icons/Backgrounds. To do so, open Weather, open the configuration zone (left menu) and then select Weather FanArt you want to display. You can do the same thing for Weather icons.

If no weather fanart/icons available, you can install packages from Kodi repository under Appearance.

Hi again everyone,

I play a lot with Kodi and that skin today to try to achieve the goal to set something totally automatic from download/rip to my family movie/tvshow nights. I have everything on a RP2 with OSMC (Jarvis version). My assets are on a USB drive with something like /media/data/StockMedia/Movies/movie name (year optional)/movie name (year optional).ext and <common root>/TVShows/show name/show name.SxxEyy.title.ext with the optional .srt. The choice of that structures is to be able to use Artwork Downloader mainly. The process of renaming/downloading/finding subtitles is done on another server and everything is pushed on regular basis on the RPI2.

My last concern is about language. In the family, we tend to watch movies or tv shows with original audio (generally english) and subtitles (french or english) but depending on watcher choice and the current state of mind.
With that in mind, I wish to be able to identify the audio language and the presence of subtitles (French and/or English) on the Movies and TV Shows listing. Of course, this can also be embedded in MKV files. On an idealistic world, the listing shows language and available SRTs. When started, Kodi could ask what SRT to use if several ones are available.

Between that dream and reality, several issues :
- First problem, I can't find a way to display or have a hint if a movie/show has one or several SRT file. I use the RightList view for the moment but I tried some others with no luck.
- Second, how can I 'set' the language of a movie/show and display that information? I look the Kodi naming convention and found no indication on such a mecanism. I look at NFO file but I found no absolute convention on that too and as I found no way to display the information on Silvo views, I can't really test something.
- Third, how can I make Kodi ask me what subtitles to use or at least make easy such change ?

Does anyone already have setup something like that? Is there a commonly used solution I missed? Any idea to test?

I must precise that:
- I have a total control on the file naming because I wrote a script to handle all these aspects. So I can easily change file naming convention.
- Things like smartlist or tags do not seem to fit the request except if I miss something.
- Sets seem inappropriate because a movie can only appear in 1 set.

Sorry for the lenght of my post and I hope to get some answers or hints Smile

just updated from GIT (still not available through repository on my OSMC Jarvis beta build but what's another story).

Everything went smoothly. No special issue detected for the moment but not lot of testing yet. One thing only but I can't remember if it appears with that version are always like this : I use the RightList for TVShows and Movies. On Movies side, the interface shows me the duration and the ending time of play (with year, and note) when on the right list part. It's useful I think. On TV Shows episode, still on RightList view, no ending time displayed. Is it possible to display it? With an option for those who prefer a clean and sober version?

On my journey with Artwork downloader side, it's running smoothly now and I update the database with a cron (using texturecache.py function if somebody wonders). But I still have no success in getting different background for the same show/movie even if the options to use fanart is on. I think I am missing something (again...). But once again, not related to the last GIT version.

Thanks for your work.

ExtraFanart is provided through the Toolbox Script. Either run the script directly, or select backgrounds from the side blade from a section (e.g. movies) and run it from there.

Can anyone tell me how I disable or get rid of the new splash intro.

It messes my setup up.

I guess its on by default with the latest update, so now whenever I start Kodi the program itself loads, then disappears, my external player then appears (I suspect to attempt to play the intro), and does nothing. So the end result is that I cannot physically open Kodi again until I kill my external player. Sad

FWIW, I tried putting <splash>false</splash> in my advanced settings and it doesn't do anything as the problem remains.

Hi Mike,

I noticed you added color selection for unwatched episodes for some views but not others. Did you decide to leave out the FloorSubLabelVar and views such as Logo below?

Also, how do I change this color with the code provided?

The option is available on Skin parameters/Extras/Disable startup intro

If you want to edit text file, go to <KODI DIRECTORY>/userdata/addon_data/skin.aeon.nox.silvo, edit settings.xml and find something like
<setting id="Disable.StartupIntro" type="bool">true</setting>

Save, restart and Voilà.

I didn't add it for Episodes since it is usually between an hour to a half hour so it seemed unnecessary... Will think on it a bit.

Colors should only be mixed if you are still setting a theme in Kodi's appearance settings. The image to the right is missing an updated texture since I need to ask schimi the great to make a replacement for it but I just haven't had the time...

Icons and Weather fanart images are not selectable on Isengard. I removed the fallback using the weather fanart from BigNoids googlecode project. You need to select a pack located locally and you can manually download one here or here.

I didn't get to everything yet but I just added it to Logo view now.
Not sure what you mean about the code provided question?

Hopefully fixed Confused Thanks! Big Grin

Did I forget to update with your latest strings.po file? I cannot remember if I did it or not...

I found the color picker option. I think the paintbrush is a bit hard to find, but it does what it is supposed to do.

It appears the only unwatched episode count still missing are those attached to the "FloorSubLabelVar."

This includes Showcase and a number of other views.
