I'm noticing when I try to scrape a particular video, the scraper is not picking up the information. I have tried by both pornstar/actress and scene number. Is this an issue with the site's database or do you have to manually input this particular scene? The scene is currently available on the site.

Thank for your hard work! Is it possible to host this on another free source provider such as github, gitlab, bitbucket or visual studio?

I had a few questions -

- is the lookup done using the date or name of actor? e.g. if the filename is 'vixen.01.10.18.somene.abcd.mkv' how is lookup done?
- what is the recommended file naming scheme. do the files have to be in own folders (like movies) ?

I'm also new to EMM so learning how to use it.

Hosting: I had a page on Sourceforge, but they deleted it without any notice. I think because of the adult topic however, I didn't upload any adult images, etc. So I'm thinking about it, but my time is limited and I prefer to code than create web pages, write content, etc.

Publishing the source code of the AdultScraperDLL could cause some copyright issues, so I'm not sure about it. Of course, if I modify anything in the EMM code I'll publish it somewhere. (I've some idea.)

EMM creates the title from the filename, I don't know the exact algorithm, but it removes resolution and other quality markers. 
In "auto mode" AdultScrapers tries different versions of the given title (removes bracketed content, removes dates, removes XXX, converts roman numbers, etc) while finds something. It uses the search function of the sites if any or a search engine otherwise, so the results may be very different. 
If you have an example that doesn't work but you think it should, please send it to me and I'll try to improve the algorithm.

I don't think the use of own folders really matters, just the software will use the name of the folder or the file. As I see most users keep the downloaded filenames, and uses the name of the folder to change the title used by EMM.

Not exactly sure what happended. I am unable to scrape new videos' I have added the source like usual. I have even tried 2 different source folders (Brazzers, Blacked). When I double click on the video and click "Re-Scrape" nothing happens. It goes back to the main screen, may blink for a half second. The nothing happens.

I'm thinking a recent update has prevent it from working correctly. I copied the folder from my other computer (which works) onto my laptop. No issue, but when I download the latest bundle the scraper box does not come up.

It's very strange. I extracted the zip that I had uploaded earlier. It works. But if I download the same (byte to byte) zip from the internet, it won't be able to load the plugins from the dll files. (In the settings dialog there isn't any scraper.) It could be a Windows security issue with downloaded files. I'm thinking of the solution.

Thank you for this report, I wouldn't have thought that.

So, it seems Windows has changed the security policy of downloaded zip archives. Earlier if you have enabled the main exe file to run, it applied to all of the DLLs. Now you should enable it for all DLLs one by one. 

I created a self-extracting archive, which will solve the problem.

Just started using Ember and this 'adult' version which is working great for the most part (thanks!) but have a few questions/issues.....sorry if I'm doing things wrong:

1. I have selected Adult Scraper, IMDB, TMDB under the Movies - Scrapers Data. I can see that the program steps through the selected scrapes in turn. I get a strange fourth scrape 'Marc Dorcel' which seems to be on by default. Can this be dissabled or am I doing something wrong.?

2. The search on the IMDB database seems to have some problems. Titles that are there are reported as not found, e.g Lingerie Busters (1992), Over Easy (1978), The Devil and Mr. Jones (1975), Private Gaia 5, The Temptations of Clarisse (1998) ................ some obscure titles I'll admit but they do exists in IMDB but are not found. File names exactly as shown here.

3. The manual entry of the IMDB number does not seem to work. The title seems to be found but the databse entry is never scraped, it just seems to cycle through more database scrapes. Maybe this feature has not yet been implemented?

4. The 'frame extraction' feature does not seem to work correctly. When you open the movie the image is fine but when you try to step through to find an appropriate frame the aspect ratio changes and image distorts, the saved frame is also distorted.

Hi @Gary2604,

1, AdultScraper uses TMDB, AdultDVDEmpire, and DorcelVision scrapers (in this order) while found all fields of the Movie. In the current version, you cannot disable any of them, sorry. Of course, I have a plan to implement it in the future. 
(If you use EEM only for adult content, enabling TMDB under the Movies - Scrapers Data is unnecessary because AdultScraper uses it internally. For images, it is useful because AdultScraper - in the current version - downloads only one poster image and not supports fanarts.) 

2-4, IMDB Scraper and Frame Extractor are not mine, so please, ask about them in the main forum of EMM.
(It's just an idea: Maybe IMDB search doesn't enable adult content by default. I searched for Lingerie Busters on imdb.com - without login -, but there wasn't any result.)

I hope, you'll use EMM and AdultScraper successfully.
