Windows 10 64-bit with amd 7750 and Windows update drivers. Regular kodi was very laggy in the menus, unusable. Dx11 works great, fast and fluid. No issues, win 10 is working fine with dx11 kodi. Thanks for this, saved me going back to win 7!

It's AMD driver issue - you are probably the 200st user affected by their shitty drivers ... for the future: Never change a running AMD system.

and don't use legacy Catalyst drivers on Win10 for legacy AMD cards (stock Win10 drivers will work better)

Will you publish latest Kodi 15.1 version with DX11 soon? Or does the version from august 7th already includes all the fixes?

@Rapsody10
DX11 port has already been successfully merged into our future Jarvis 16.0 release.

So, i can confirm, with the AMD legacy driver (Mobile HD3650), direct from MS Update, i can use kodi-dx11 with dxva2 on windows 10.

Find the exact same thing using my atom z3736 and z3735 based mini pcs. Menu performance was terrible compared to windows 8.1. ON a whelm I thought I would try the direct x11 version and performance increased drastically. People running windows 10 should run the direct x11 version.

I’ve just tried the August installer build (KodiSetup-20150816-493e000-dx11_Isengard)
I'm using Intel HD4600 graphics (Win8.1) system and I'm using the following settings:
- Kodi set to limited range 16-235
- Intel graphics driver: Video driver setting=full range; Display driver setting=full range
- TV input set to limited range
There seems to be a big difference in the black levels of the Kodi menus vs video content. I had to reduce the display brightness about 15 points to get the black calibration correct. At this level the menu looks very dim indeed.
In more detail, using the AVSHD709 black clipping pattern, bars 17-25 are visible with DX9 version of 15.1 (i.e.correct) while with the DX11 version, bars 4-25 are visible (i.e. brightness far too high). In contrast, the Kodi menu is darker with the DX11 version. Does the DX11 version need different driver settings?

this is not a new issue, it has been the same with all dx11 builds.
