Broken hGO EU Add-on (plugin.video.hbogoeu) [input-stream] [End Of Life]
(2021-08-28, 18:51)arvvoid Wrote: Version 2.7.8 that fix the "new version" error in series/season listings will be available soon in the Kodi add-on repository.

Downloaded this 2.7.8_leia version, but it does not work for me -> stream won't start without returning any error.
Had to revert back to 2.7.7 version to get it working.

Today even the 2.7.7_leia version stopped working on my Odroid CE.9.2.7_Kodi.18.9 installation. Will collect debug log and send it here and to you.

406 license error.

Google has finally revoked the older widevine version that is used on ARM devices.

See here:

There are going to be many with the same issue and a lot of repeating the same info. I won't be replying anymore than what I have above. Maybe someone could start a sticky thread?

You'd need to ask in your OS forums when support will be added if not yet available.

Thanx for this info, I suspected this when going through my debug log.
Interesting is that Netflix still works with the old 4.10.1679.0 version; usually NF was first to stop working with older Widevine versions...

Bug
If you use subtitles often, you may find that clicking on Subtitles > Subtitles Settings every time you start a video, can be a bit annoying.
I mean the plugin.video.hbogoeu application in this case.
Every time I start playing a movie in HgoGo, it automatically loads my subtitles, but in English, because it's the first in a list of four subtitles:
English- (external) (1/4)
Unknown-RON (external) (2/4)
English (3/4)
Romanian (4/4)

I am interested in the option (4/4), respectively the Romanian subtitles, the last one in the list of choices.
Could I configure, or could it be implemented in the future to be able to choose which option to have automatically?

I uploaded some sample pictures :

Trying to set up a permanent choice of preferences does not seem to work .

Since this is a Kodi thing, first check that your Kodi settings are OK. Go to Settings -> Player settings -> Language -> Preferred subtitle language => Set to Romanian. Also check that "Preferred audio language" is set to Original language, and "Prefer default audio streams" is enabled
Restart Kodi and then check  offered subtitle in HBO_Go addon...

Also read this post for more detailed explanation...

I restarted Kodi and the result is the same .. The English subtitle is played first when I watch a movie in hgogo.

It's done. In the plugin settings, "Always use the default operator language" it was ticked. I took out that check mark, and now it works fine.

Good morning, does this addon have or would it have support to see hbo max? HBO Max is the new platform in Spain.
Greetings

first at all, thanks guys for the wonderful work!
my problem is with buffering. I'm trying to watch on RPi3 with OSMC, LibreElec and Raspberry OS with same problem - buffering after movie begins.
Mentioned OS are clean install with only one plugin - hGO EU. Everything installs without any problems, but when movie begins, no matter selected resolution and network connection(Wi-Fi or Wired) the problem persists.
I try addon from my phone and it plays everything without any buffering(same network, same internet provider, same wi-fi).
Last thing what i try is to install youtube plugin, which also requires inputstream and Widevine, but is works without any problems - playback begin immediately on FullHD with no buffering at all.
Here are my log file and my video:

please help guys!

I will only confirm, the same is happening to me. The movie starts and buffering immediately, while the movie is still the same every few minutes. I also have RPi3. It works OK on other devices.

Hi
@adamsa, I think the problem is with the Widevine CDM. I rolled back to the previous version (4.10.2252.0) and everything works as it should without any buffering.

@arekfoxik Thank you for the workaround!
It fixed the mentioned issue for me on RPi4+LibreElec.
More detailed steps that worked for me:
1. Restore Widevine CDM version to 4.10.2252.0 in the settings of the InputStream Helper addon.
2. Reboot device (didn't worked for me before reboot, maybe some caching somewhere...)
