I have scraped my big TV shows collection with the legacy TVDB addon. I just evaluating migrating to the new v4 one. Reading around about the process, apparently the change will be active for new tvshows, leaving untouched the information for TV Shows and episodes already in the library.

I wonder what will happen when new episodes appear for a tvshow scraped with the legacy scraper. Will they be correctly processed?

That is, if I replace the scraper, will the old tvshows already in the database be updated?

The fact that you are not a subscriber and don't have a PIN should have no bearing. This may be a bug and we will investigate.

The debug shows it successfully finding the show, seeing the filenames for all the episodes, but when it queries TVDB and sees the show has no DVD order, it just fails and doesn't do the fall back logic to look for Aired Order.

@racer98765 commented on the GitHub ticket, but the devs will consider this enhancement in the new scraper and I will let you know.

I have all begin again for my scrap but a lot was already put in "export in each file" for all my movie if you understand my english....

So, now that seems that sources and mediasources names are good, I already have my 8000 movies with TMDB and Artwork dump whitout problem.

And so I just want to know what the better way for my tvshows scrap. I have already the most important with doing like for the movies "export....in folder of tvshows"

Have I to begin with a local scrap before or does I just install TVDB v.4 and all rescrap like this ?

Has anyone noticed the new scraper being much slower? I didn't time it, but while trying to sort out my database issues I had to re-scrape my shows a number of times with the original and v4 scrapers, and the original would complete at least 5x faster.

I've been having a lot of issues with the API4 addon, but the old addon (marked as new) works perfectly fine. Seems a little odd to me why I'm having a wide range of issues with the API4 addon but not the old one.

- Some shows fail to scrape episode data (does so fine with the old scraper)
- Pulls the wrong shows title thats not even close to the folder name
- Thinks "season" is a show name, and pulls totally random information for it (like yu gi oh?)
- Loads of empty unrelated TV shows seem to get scraped into the library
