Hi Matt,

i recently updated with kodi nexus from leila. IPTV merge was working fine. since, iptv merge only works if slyguy common is updated regularly. Everything works fine for a few days. then iptv merge refuses to work because it sees an update that was not made with the slyguy common service.

I intentionally disable plugin updates because I want to update myself. is there a way to get back to how it was before or did i miss a few things?

ps. tried to look over the forum if the questions was already ask but didn't find it. Sorry in advance if it's already there.

I use a Raspberry PI with LibreElec Nexus distro.

Make sure you have his repo installed, and you kinda need auto updates on since there are frequent updates to Slyguy addons and services.

i wasted a lot of time with support requests just to find users using old versions of addons / common.
I'll see if I can redo the logic in a way where it doesnt fail but instead warning.

UPDATE:
Latest slyguy common changes it to a logging error saying they must be updated or no support will be given

on my side, I only use IPTV merge. Even older versions cause no problems.

I only want to create an xml file that merges multiple URLs.

And your app works really well.

I have an old version of IPTV merge at my cousin's with the LEILA version. The configuration is frozen and no update is done. The device has been working perfectly for 4 years with absolutly no bugs..

Exactly what I need for my family who don't understand anything about computers and the system must always work. Which saves me from a lot of calls.

Lately, I installed version 0.66 with Nexus and preparing the skin like the old one for her. I installed it to her home. And I have to go back there to update.

My point is that if I accept app updates for yours, it does everywhere and I lose my system image. Bugs appear over time. I prefer to create my own updates and test them first.

I totally understand your point though. I will try your new version. Thank you in advance for agreeing to make this small change.

Maybe you could put an option that disables this mechanism? But have it enabled by default for the initial install and advanced users can manually disable it in the menu?

An option to disable out of date addons seems redundant.
Why would anyone want that? hahaha

I have Kodi set up on two devices: a Sony Android Smart TV and a Firestick 4K Max on another TV. Both are set up in exactly the same way, running Kodi v19.5 with IPTV Merge accessing one playlist, (containing PlutoTV and Samsung+ channels), stored on our home server, and another playlist stored "in the cloud" with an EPG provider that contains various international channels. The TV Headend add-on is also installed on both setups.

I have temporarily disabled TVHeadend in Kodi add-ons and disabled the "international" playlist in IPTV Merge, so currently only the Pluto-Samsung playlist is active, but I am still getting the same problem, on both Kodi setups:

For the past few days, (3-4 day??), the first channel in my "Pluto-Samsung" channels playlist appears as the first channel in every genre in the EPG - not just the one that it is supposed to be in. Although I edit this playlist regularly to remove ceased channels and add in new ones, I had not made any changes for some days prior to this issue starting. I have now tried editing the playlist to move the channel order around, but whichever channel comes first in the playlist is always at the top of every genre in the EPG.

This is what the beginning of my playlist looks like, can anyone see anything wrong that might be causing this issue please?

The above is an extract of the playlist you feed into merge? And then that csi channel shows up in every genre? Is that correct?

Thanks for the quick reply.

Yes, the playlist extract is the first few lines of what is currently, (while trying to isolate this problem), the only playlist that feeds in to Merge. On my EPG I get the CSI channel as the first entry under every genre listed in the line #EXTGRP followed by the correct channels for that genre in channel number order, (it should only appear under "All Channels and "New on Pluto TV". This does not happen with any other channel in my playlist, just whichever is the first one in the playlist, and seems to happen if I edit the playlist to put a different channel first.

In case it was the colon in CSI:Crime Scene that was causing the issue, I temporarily deleted that channel from the playlist. When I did that, channel 23 - Pluto TV Stateside - which was now at the top of the playlist appeared instead at the top of every genre.

After every edit of the playlist I have done another merge and cleared the data from the two locations in Settings > PVR + Live TV

FYI, you should be using

multiple EXTM3U is technically invalid but merge works with either way

Could reproduce the issue using your sample.
Was a bug introduced in 0.24.2

Confirmed all working OK again with all playlists and TVHeadend activated on both of my "Kodi" devices.

I have amended the first lines of my playlist as per your advice.

Hi !
Lately (I don't know from which version of IPTV Merge it is) I have a strange problem.
All radio stations have a comma before their name.
As an example, I can mention my playlist "Absolut Radio".
You can see how the playlist changes after going through IPTV Merge and how it looks in Kodi.
What can I do to prevent this from happening?
