Quick Question:

I have a bunch of custom xbt files in addons/aeonoxsilvo/media  but whenever there is an update to silvo, all my custom xbt files get deleted.  Is there any solution to this, maybe place the custom xbt files in a different folder, where they might get recognized when changing theme within kodi?

I have a problem with the studio logos. The TVShows studio logos are ok but in the movies section they're shown as plain text, no logo. I've updated the addon for white icons and colored icons but still nothing. Any ideas how to solve this? Thanks.

I found something. When I scrap the movies with TinyMediaManager, the studio logo doesn't show but if I do it with TheMovieDatabase the logo shows off.

Any ideas why is this happening?

sorry for my late reply, but i ran in the same trouble yesterday. The problem is, that you cannot restrict the amount of studios in TMM. (EMM is able to do that). So if there is more than one studio, you will see the text and not the image in the video details. A workaround is, to delete a few lines in the DialogVideoInfo.xml from the Aeon Nox 5 Skin. Now you only see a studio image, if there is only one entry in the nfo file .... otherwise there is no image and no text. For me thats works... no problems at the moment.

Maybe the developer from Aeon Nox 5 Silvo or TMM can create a option only to use the first studio.

I am using PVR every day. The strange behavior of PVR info was noticed.
Today, I found another odd behavior in Silvo skin. If the TV channel does not start for any reason, the info panel (which pops up at channel switching and at pressing OK button) remains on the screen and cannot be removed. Even if I open the OSD channel list this info window covers the bottom part of the channel list. Rare case but annoying.

I am not sure what this means. Please provide any more info you can think of. Screenshots or whatever else...

When a channel cannot be tuned due to any reason (e.g. scrambled channel) the panel marked with red box remains on the screen. As you can see it is in front of the OSD channel list and hides a big part of it. In Aeon Nox this OSD panel disappears after some seconds.


I recently observed an another cosmetic problem with your improvement. You added the information element marked with green. (highly appreciated). However sometimes the content of the orange marked item and the green marked item is the same (as on the screenshot). I suggest adding a visibility condition to the green marked item to show it only if it differs from the orange one. I hope it is not a too difficult change.

Seems to be skin shortcuts related but not sure if its just some bad menu items I need to update/track them down if it is. I found the code in the template.xml and can see an entry about WidgetInfo2 - Do I maybe have a historic entry somewhere lurking I need to remove?

@skypichat I have no access or control over TransiFex. You would have to send me the po file or explain to me how to get it...

@Mahava Next Aired displays just fine. There is no choice for anything other than logo and that is due to how it was designed. ATM I do not have a reason to change it cause it is the way it has always been in Aeon Nox 5 and I am happy with how it currently works. First I am hearing about lag with mouse so it is hard to know if it is your setup or the skin. I do not even know what platform you are using...

@Maxmueller No I do not plan to do that cause I do not use such a setup so it would be extremely difficult (nigh impossible) to work on something I cannot test. I can try to help you out but id need a lot of provided info and screenshots cause I can't "see" the changes...

@The Viper No, need to replace them after each skin update. If you are using or providing a "build" then please DON'T. If you are not then I don't understand why you need to swap images so often and sorry but thems just the breaks.

@Quoxy There is no skin engine support for multiple studios. You have to ask the developer to offer that option or use Library Editor script to manually change it yourself. Support for that script is in the extras section in the Info Screen.

@sakos I will look into that. Are you sure that it does not happen in Aeon Nox 5?

@ryanfavell100 Only list widgets auto scroll. Really makes no sense to me to have a panel widget scroll through all items and focus on some random one, you can set the widget to be random so why the need to scroll through it? Makes sense for a single entry to scroll but a wide list of multiple items do not.

@jeffski10 Those errors are not important and can safely be ignored. If they bother you then the only thing I can think of to do is reset all menu items and start from scratch to get rid of them.

Sorry @Karellen I meant to be more descriptive. I used two ways to reply the first being inline with your posts "Reply" button and the second being at the end of the thread using the "New Reply" button.

First I hit reply and sent without editing then sent another reply with an edit removing the "quote" then I did the same the second time using the "New Reply" button and I did another reply using the same button but again deleting that same "quote".

No rush on binning cause I spent the time writing, so if others spend time reading it I will not feel bad
