Long after I posted (3.3ns) I found the backspace worked

But the issue moving forwards is that I intend to use a remote rather than KB/Mouse, this is a NUC and as such I can use my XbOX remote.

I will do a better setup and see what I can resolve.

Either way, appreciate the response and time taken.

Hi,
I have installed kodi 21 with Confluence ZEITGEIST skin.

This skin does not have any FF e RR buttons on the video player. I'd like to add these buttons and have them configured so that I can play my video at twice, four times and  so on, the regular speed. (same thing for the reverse button)

I'd like to know if it would be possible do add thess feature sand if yes how that can be done.

Here's some info.

FF/RW:

- Additional player actions like fast forward/backwards should be used via a remote control. Having UI buttons for this is not common anymore in dedicated modern media player UI for valid reasons
- If you still want all the (one too many :-) ) old school player UI buttons, you have the option to enable them here:
System > Skin settings > OSD, Dialogs & Views > Enable Video OSD Button simplicity > UNCHECK
I can't recommend it - but do what you need to! :-)

Additional playback tempo/speed modes:

- Besides the above info regarding the FF/RW functionality, there is also the possibility of playback tempo control without dedicated UI buttons (if technically usable on your Kodi system):
While playing a video, focus the Play-button in the Fullscreen OSD and press UP/DOWN on your remote/keyboard. This will result in using the additional tempo modes like 0.8x, 0.9x, 1.1x, 1.2x, 1.3x, 1.4x, 1.5x being activated.
I don't really use these modes. But just as some additional info separate from FF/RW.

Since the YouTube add-on recently (maybe forever) broke for Kodi 17, i took this as a chance to refine and expand the existing Web Browser Trailer Search support.
See changelog below for details of potentially using a custom browser with a kiosk mode.

Video Info Dialog

- Changed the color of the "My List" and "Watched" indicator icons from white to "uiColorVariantSliderNibFocus"
(corresponds to a slightly brightened accent color)

This strongly improves noticeability for both indicators which were previously just too similar to the white "+" icons representing the non-active state.
The user therefore had to forcibly concentrate on finding out if an indicator represents in fact an active state, which lead to an undesirable user experience.

Video Info Dialog (Trailer Search button)

- Added a fourth option for Trailer search language ("None") which omits any additional language strings from the search query

- Improved warning dialog when the Trailer Search (via Web Browser) button is clicked while Kodi is playing media.
Now you have the option to easily confirm "Yes" to stop Kodi playback and open the Web Browser.

- Expanded the existing Trailer Search functionality with support for a Custom Web Browser which can be set via Skin settings

Example for a custom "Browser path":

Hi, thanks for the feedback.

This should not happen _every_ update.
Such a "mini-reset" should only happen once when updating from an older x.5.x version or even older.

I'll look into it if i can get some more info:

- How often did it happen to you already?
- Which version did you use before the update?
- Which version are you using after the last update?

I think i found the issue. You're using Kodi 21 or 22 and therefore skin version 6.x.x - do you?

The "mini-reset" is wrongly triggered when on version 6.x.x because the condition is not yet updated for skin version 6.x.x

I'll fix this in the next hours and let you know when to test.

Yep! That's correct and as intended. 2K refers to all resolutions of approximately 2000 horizontal pixels.

This includes 1080p. Kodi detects all resolutions which are "near 2K" and calls them "1080" - even if if they may in fact are not 1080.
I therefore changed in to 2K for multiple reasons including better UI fit (2 characters instead of 4/5)
