Thanks, moneymaker. The problem was indeed with the VPN connection on openelec. Nothing to do with the hulu plugin (which is working fine).

Hello there!
I tried to figure it out but I run out of ideas. The Hulu plugin works well on my Ouya and my Windows 8 PC. However, I cannot get it to play anything on my android MK802III. I tried both the current and beta versions... no luck. I set it up like you said moneymaker:
# Select "akamai" for the Default CDN
# Uncheck "Network Pre-roll".
# Set Pre-Roll ads and Trailing ads to 0.
# Uncheck "Enable Commercial breaks".
# be sure Proxy is Unchecked. (only U.S.)
Here is the log: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=116090
Though I have no clue what it means, I noticed this error:
22:48:12 T:1803128336 ERROR: /mnt/sdcard/Android/data/org.xbmc.xbmc/files/.xbmc/addons/plugin.video.hulu-beta/crypto/hash/sha1Hash.py:9: DeprecationWarning: the sha module is deprecated; use the hashlib module instead

Thanks for all the help you can provide!

I've noticed a majority of my strms stop playing half way into them. I'm using Hulu Beta w/ Hulu Plus so this shouldn't happen?? At least it never use too. Anyone else have this problem, or know a remedy?

@Vonspiel
I can't support Android. Like I already said I hope someone can. You should try to downgrade to 12.0 and try again.
@Lunatixz
What does the log file? Maybe a skin issue? I once had the same behavior a long time ago but disappeared by itself. My guess is that some series are split?!

I almost only use hulu for the criterion collection films and there's one thing thats been bothering me. When selecting a film in the menus you come to a episodes menu and after that you get to the actual film. This seems a bit unnecessary. Is there a way I can stack the menu to play the film directly from the first menu?

Ive had random occurrences where the video will just stop playing, but it never happens at the same place if i try to watch the video again. Usually on the second play-through im able to seek to where it dropped before and it just plays fine.
One thing that i have noticed consistently is that if you pause a video for more than a couple minutes it will play the few seconds it had buffered and then end. I think it has to do with the server dropping the connection when you dont actively use it for too long.
Is your issue different than this?

Yeah... I've also noticed the pause issue. But my problem almost always happens half way through playing an episode. Certain shows and seasons are at fault.

Weird, can you give me an example show/season and i will check it out?
I'll have to get back to you on which shows...

My hulu is still taking a really long time to buffer before playing. I've had no other issues with it other than that. Queue, subscriptions, etc work great and everything plays fine once it starts, just take 30+ seconds to start playing an episode!
Any ideas? Did I miss the posts about this solution?

Are you using a proxy or vpn? Do other streaming addons have this issue? Is your quality set too high for your bandwidth?
