Hi,

I own 2 ATV2. I install the latest eden 11.0 b2 on both and have at both atv2 the same configuration.

The problem is, if I navigate to TV or movies it needs at the slow machine a very long time to show me the seasons or films. At the quick machine I get the output after 2 seconds.

I use MySQL and a network share for Thumbs.

I found a similar error at the web and the mean a re jailbreak can help. I do this but it don't help.

You should add the log for the other atv2 then ... and tell us which is which ...

I test several things. At both systems I start xbmc and navigate to the first season. After that I go back to home.

You could verify that its allways that "Load Skin XML" which slows it down on your slow box...

Hi,

I found the error and its very strange.

I use both machine with mysql, same username and password.

If I start the slow machine, the MySQL admin interface shows me an unautorisaation access with an unknown user. This comes from the slow ATV2.

I saw also that connection that works fine shows me always a hostname. The connection that don't work shows me only the IP from the slow atv2.

The next step was very easy. I configure the DNS to resolve the ip to a name.

Bingo, now it works.

I don't understand 2 things.
1. Why the atv2 cannot connect to the mysql
2. Why the atv2 shows me the seasons and movies without a connection.

But both questions are not based on xbmc issue.

I have a last question. Sometimes the ATV don't boot. I saw the apple, it goes away and then nothing. I recicle the power and than it works. Any hint? I know its not xbmc, but I think you have experience and you have a hint...:-)

the none booting issue is a jailbreak problem - we have to hope that there will be a new seasonpass which fixes it. About the mysql thing - there is an entry in our wiki which describes a setting for switching reverse lookups off on thy mysql server...
