[RELEASE] ESPN3.com Addon
Is it possible to get this to work with ESPN College Season Pass for people outside the US?
I'm in the UK and have a monthly season pass subscription, the addons settings allow me to put my user and pass in but the list of isp's is only US ones,
I've done a search for ESPN College Season Pass and before I go through 141 pages here can someone tell me if I'm wasting my time please?

it would probably have to do with setting up a proxy server.

do a search for that.

I have verizon FiOS swid and was wondering what I need to do get it to work when I am on Comcast. I used the userdata.xml from verizon to replace the one using comcast. I still get a error message for any espn/espn2/espnu stream. I know that with verizon account I can watch all of this on watchespn. I was wondering if anyone has had luck using FiOS swid with comcast or any other ISP. Would really appreciate it if you let me know what was the approach followed.

@bharath23, try logging in to the website via "remote access" and grab the swid you get.

@divingmule, I already grabbed the swid and created the userdata.xml based on what I got by visiting this link http://broadband.espn.go.com/espn3/auth/userData and I followed the instructions posted in post #571. I am unable to watch espn/espn2/epsnu using the swid. I can only watch non-blacked out espn3.

Would really appreciate it if someone can help me resolve this issue of using Verizon FiOS swid over Comcast. My school is playing this weekend and it is on espnu and blacked out on espn3. I just hate having to connect my laptop to the TV to for just this game.

Very cool add on. Serious props to all who contributed.

One question i'm hoping someone can answer - when I view the upcoming events in Confluence (on Frodo nightly), i see a time of 3:00 off to the right of the event. The game is scheduled for 4:30pm EST; what does the 3:00 represent and is there any way to set it so that it pulls in my local start time (ie, noon Pacific)?

Thanks!

@rowens

I believe that is the play time for the game. Usually given a 3 hour time slot though it could go shorter or longer.

Same situation here.. can not watch the live channels just the espn3 stuff.. I just get the message "ERROR" otherwise.

Great information in this thread.

Just recently, randomly, this plugin stopped working on my appletv2. When I click on the icon to open it, I get an error message before it even pulls up the first menu. I did not change any of the settings or my login. Any thoughts as to what could be going wrong?

I don't know if this will help the developers in any way but it looks like the issue with Comcast is that the userdata and cookies are not authorized for anything but espn3. For example, I use Suddenlink but have Comcast credentials and, after logging into my Comcast account, my userdata still shows Suddenlink as my account.

Instead, Comcast access for other channels seems to be linked to a call to:
https://sp.auth.adobe.com/adobe-services...onfig/ESPN
This is called before Comcast is authenticated as well but, once you've entered your credentials, the returned xml looks like this:
http://pastie.org/5460415

In my case, after loading that page, the browser then changes the provider logo from Suddenlink to Xfinity (guessing a javascript change) so I think maybe something there is used to validate access for the streams.

I've read through a fair chuck of this thread.

Initially I found the plugin via: http://www.insanehtpc.com/2012/05/16/how...n-for-xbmc ? Comments at the end point to this thread even though it's not listed as "ESPN3.com" (rather ESPN) in the addons list.

I see a lot of people having partial success who are comcast subscribers. My ISP isn't one of the ones listed when trying to view on the web at espn.go.com, so it fails (comcast is listed as one of the valid ISPs).

The above website instructions seem to not have you setting your provider, back when it was working, was it working for all ISPs? Or only the ones where you are already able to view via the web?

My logs. http://code.google.com/p/bluecop-xbmc-re...ail?id=192
