The Crystax NDK for JB
#1
Hi,
I want to build and run xbmc in JB. But the Crystax NDK seems to not support JellyBean version yet, no android-16 platform.
Is there any suggestion?

You can run XBMC in JB using the RC's the team has posted or you can build your own using CrystaX's NDK V7 beta3. Use android-9 or android-14 as the platform (GB and ICS respectively). I've been building XBMC since August and running it on 4.1 since October without problem. There are also reports of it working fine under 4.2 as long as you use beta 3 of the CrystaX NDK to build.

Thanks. Actually, I already built xbmc using CrystaX's NDK V7 beta3 with android-9. But my target platform is JB. I concerned it has some compatibility issue.
Since you said it could run under 4.2, I will have a try.

I have the Ainol Fire tablet running cm10 and was wondering if this was my issue as I am trying to get aml to work on the meson6 chipset. The rc3 official is fine but of course no hw accel, and when I add the aml on my own build it crashes to no end. I thought it was an issue with the sdk as I use the default android-10 but and ndk-android-9 but with you stating that there will be no compatibility issues I feel I am missing something if this is not my issue. I have made a few threads but did not want to feel like I was spamming to get an answer so I figured I would ask in a few similar threads to see if I can find the problem.
