[RELEASE] 4oD (Video) Addon - UK Channel 4 on demand. v.3.0.12 !NOT WORKING!
Hi Mossy, thanks for taking the time to look at this.

Here's my log:

http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=33402

To be on the safe side I've totally wiped my SD card again (Edit - using Raspberry Pi here), downloaded the latest version of OpenELEC, when it finished I used wget to install your Frodo repo, installed that, installed the 4OD plugin and that's as far as I get.

(works fine with VPN)
@dawson: I've started looking at re-writing my Demand 5 plugin to use the iPhone/iPad streams. There are a few things that confuse me at the moment, but getting there....

Thanks again Mossy, I'm heading to work right now but I'll check it out and post back later how I get on.

Installed on XBMC Frodo with just a few clicks and working absolutely 100% with no problems whatsoever.
Great work - thank you!! Big Grin

@dlake02 You'll need to setup the proxy configuration again. If you have already done this then there's a bug preventing the plugin from picking up the settings correctly, because the plugin isn't using the proxy for you.

Works superbly, thanks Mossy, I bet for every thanks we give here there'll be dozens of people who are silently thankful for your hard work on this one.

Any idea if 4OD intends to make their entire online catalogue available via the PS3 channel?

Proxy being recognised, and the initial call to ais.channel4.com is going through the proxy (confirmed by Wireshark), but nothing else goes through it.

Where it falls over, I see this in the log:

09:10:39 T:7384 ERROR: FALLBACK fromException : '"URLError(gaierror(11001, 'getaddrinfo failed'),)"'

@dlake
The error means "host not found". Smells like your proxy is failing to find "ais.channel4.com".

What happens when you try 4oD in a browser, via the proxy?
