Transparency! v5.0.0 for XBMC Frodo 12.0
One thing I've noticed is that when selecting a Music Artist in Fanart view, it switches the background fanart to the generic Music fanart (gold CD) when you scroll past the ".." and "All Albums" choices. This happens in Frodo with both the old and new version of Transparency!.

In Eden, it would keep the Artist Fanart when you scrolled past those 2 options to get to the first album. Any way to change it back to that functionality?

nope, it just doesn't work anymore in xbmc.
it's not a skin issue.

thanks for the clarification, ronie.

that's interesting, seeing as the TV Show Fanart view does not do that - when selecting a TV Show, the ".." option being selected or scrolled past will still retain the Fanart of that specific TV Show. Seems like the Music library should work the same way, as it used to.

i will post in a Frodo thread re: a bug report or a feature request and go from there.

not much tbh. the only thing i can think is
there are already 5 time indicators on the video osd,
adding a 6th one is not an option.

There is an alternative Smile I also wanted this, and the Video OSD was crowded, as you mentioned. I just added it instead to the 'DialogSeekBar.xml' instead. It looks nice, neat and is unobtrusive. I just click pause and then have the time remaining on top of the seek bar.

Here is a screen cap of it.

Image

PHP Code:

Displays Time Remaining above the seek bar

            <
control type="label"
                <
description>Video Remaining Time

                <
posx>300</posx>
                <
posy>663</posy>
                <
width>300

                <
height>25

                <
textcolor>white</textcolor>
                <
label>Remaining$INFO[Player.TimeRemaining]
                <
align>right</align>
                <
aligny>center</aligny>
                <
font>font-20
            </
control

NOTE: I moved all of Transparency's seek bars and such to the bottom of the screen. This is to keep things the same as my Tivo, Xbox 360, Roku and Direct TV boxes. So you will need to change the 'posy' to put it where you want it.

Has the method to change the order of the main home menu changed? I can't seem to get it to work when editing the XML as I have done with past versions of Transparency!

Firstly, thanks for the great looking skin. I've spent like an hour trying to figure out how to access my Video Add-ons. Only some randomly appear of the right side when I select Addons in the main menu. When I click on the main Addons I just get the Program Addons not the video ones.

highlight the 'Movies' button on the home screen
and press right. a submenu will appear, select 'video addons' there.

Wow that was fast.. I feel like such a dummy. With the default skin they are under Videos not Movies.. Thanks a lot Smile

it used to be this:

Quote:hey are used in the order they're listed in Home.xml.
just check the
sections of control 5040 (vertical menu) and 5041 (horizontal menu).

then it was done by changing the
sections of includes.home, but neither of those seem to work anymore. editing includes.home allows me to re-name them, but I can't change the order.

well, I ended up doing it the ugly way by just swapping around the XML code in that section. not ideal, but it did the trick.

First of all love Transparency. Secondly apologies if this has already been covered but would love it if someone had an answer for this. Running Frodo 12.2 as of last night previously was on 12.1 and had the same issue. Artwork downloader point blank refuses to download logos for tv or films even though they are selected as default. I know they work in Transparency as I did one manually to test. Any idea why Artwork Downloader won't grab them?.

nope, the best you can do is head over to the artwork downloader support thread:
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=114633
and post a Debug Log there.

Help please,
I just uninstalled xbmc and did the re-install with the xbmchub wizard per the email that just came out with the updates. Everything looks great and then I went back to Transparency skin. Both music and movies loaded up and then added them to their libraries. I enabled scrapers and anything I could find in the add-ons, but when I open up either music or movies, the content is there, but I don't get any fanart, posters, etc.. I can't find just what to do to get that stuff back. I like listening to music and having the big screen showing a slide show of the band that's playing with album art. I know I don't know the difference between album art, posters, and fanart, but I want them back!!!
Help please.
Thanks

Ronie, is the plot autoscrolling broken in Frodo ?
I've enabled it in Skin Settings but i can't get it to work in Fanart View..

Edit : My bad, so we have to wait for a while before it scrolls,
Is there anyway to shorten the delay time?

Edit2 : Found it, i had to change the "delay" value, now it's ideal.
