Hi,
thank you for the exe, but I get the following error:
C:\boblightd>(CConfig::CheckConfig) config lines valid
(CConfig::BuildConfig) building config
(CConfig::BuildDeviceConfig) ERROR: c:\boblightd\boblight.conf line 9: boblig
htd was built without spi, no support for lpd8806 devices
I was able to compile the exe myself, but I saw a similar error when I compiled it: The library Linux/spi is needed to support LP8806 led devices.
My LED strip is a ws2801, btw.
Any clue of how to add this library? I could not find it in the cygwin sources.
Cheers!

upload your boblight.conf please.
Or just post the first part until the lights section.

I have changed my momo setup for ws2801 led strips. That's why I want to change my .conf setup.
I have ordered a Raspberry board. But while I wait for it, I wanted to test if this setup (xbmc for windows + boblight + ws2801) works.

But you are using an Arduino to control the LEDs right? Are you using the Adalight software?
Arduino yes/no?
Software?
How many LEDs?
How connected to your windows machine?

Is there a version that can be compiled with visual studio? Would like to work on a solution for the ARFX led controller

Thank you TeKo! It worked! I had a broken configuration since I updated XMBC but now it's working again. It must have been something with the version of boblight I was running.
I'm running:
Windows 7 64x
Arduino UNO with LEDstream.pde
50 WS2801 LEDs
Your version of boblight (which version is this anyway?)
XMBC 12.1
boblight add-on 2.0.4
In case you are thinking of making an even better config-generator, I think the one built in AmbiBox is brilliant. The best one I've seen so far. You should check it out.

It's a pity it worked for just one day... I updated my graphics drivers and fooled around with some other things on my HTPC and now the configuration is broken again. Boblight launches nicely with the .bat, flashing RGB, XBMC addon connects like normal but no lights working. Same problem as before.
I will soon do a fresh install, including recompiling the LEDstream.pde to my Arduino UNO. Just to be sure, an unmodified LEDstream.pde from Adalight should work, right?
