Thank you for your response! I am using a smart playlist. I'll try using the 'override play button' setting later this week and let you know how it works.

Unfortunately the 'override play button' doesn't seem to work at all, for the playlist or any other movie. Thanks for trying though.

Did you restart XBMC after saving the settings?

No I hadn't, but I tried that and it seems like it might work, at least initially. It started the intros and trivia, etc and then started the first movie. I didn't have time to actually watch a whole movie or more so once the movie started, I tried hitting the next button, but that just took me back to the playlist and said that it couldn't play the next item. So I don't know if that means it will work or not. The reason I'm concerned is that the playlist chooses 4 random movies from a certain genre I set up, which means that every time you reopen the playlist or do anything so it resets, there are 4 different movies there. When I started the playlist and it usually slides to the next movie, instead it seemed to reset the playlist so I'm not sure what that means to the Cinema Experience script.

I just realized that in all this testing, the trailers weren't showing. They were working on the previous HTPC which was running Eden. We haven't had the new PC for very long and I've been getting it set up. I turned off the 'Limit Trailers by Genre' because it was mentioned on here a few months ago and that seems to have fixed it. The problem listed was from a while ago though, is that supposed to be fixed now, or is it still a known issue?

The nfo file needs to be named exactly the same as the trailer file(except for the extension of course) and it needs to match the format found in this thread -> http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...#pid664143

Thanks, the file-name wasn't exact, now everything shows. Although, I can't seem to get the starring (to show cast) to appear.

I've done it in a format such as <cast>John Cusack, Forest Whitaker, Lenny Kravitz</cast> but it doesn't appear under starring when running.

Is this incorrect or to be done another way?

Using the "Override Play Button" doubles up all the vids - pressing Cinema only runs what has been setup correctly - so a single trailer, followed by a ratings image then a DTS/Dolby audio clip and finally a movie. If i press play. I get all of these but doubled. so i get two trailers (not the same ones) doubled ratings image and double audio (again not the same audio one just two of them). followed by the movie.

I have turned off all options except the ratings to check whats happening and it doubles up using the play button and not through the cinema button.
I am using Frodo on OpenElec 3.1 and the Aeon Nox 4.09 skin.

Any suggestions on how to stop the doubling on the play option? as This option has been something ive been waiting for, for ages.

This program worked fine for me until I upgraded to Frodo, Now it runs until the Triva Intro clip plays then it cuts out and goes back to displaying my movie covers. I changed nothing on my PC, still have my dir looking at "Slides with Music list folder" then Q&A. This use to run the whole script right threw but now stops as mentioned above. Any Suggestions would be great. Would like to have it running again, Friends and Family really get a kick out of it.

Just getting around to this now since I upgraded from my XBOX! I used to have HTE on that and was most impressed. Any chance someone might answer a few questions?

1) I'm trying to find slaveunit's stuff (not even sure if they're still supported). I seem to remember a very basic website with it rar'd into a number of parts. I'll have a Google but a link would be very much appreciated.

Hey Guys,

Hoping for a little help here...I finally got Cinema Experience working more or less the way I wanted but after a bit of tinkering, my SD card was corrupted so I had to reformat and start from scratch. Running into the same issue I had with the Trivia slides the first time around but haven't been able to fix it this time. Not sure if I'm forgetting a step or if it's a new issue so I've posted the log, hoping maybe you can give me a better idea of whats happening.

I'm running OpenELEC Frodo v12 on a Raspberry Pi (B), running the Transparency! theme and I set a pre-trivia movie in CE which plays fine but it crashes when it gets to loading the Trivia slides. Nothing has changed in the slides folders so it must be an issue with XBMC...I think the crash is occuring around line 2557 in the log but I'll let you guys be the judge of that. Would really appreciate any help you can give. Thanks in advance.

My slides will work with anything that CE works with. As long as you get CE working in Confluence - you should be good to go. The only reason Aeon Nox is mentioned is because one of my packs is themed to fit the look of that skin specifically. The slides will work with any skin you use. Just be sure to follow the folder structure.

Thank you for that. I do hope I did not cause any offence! By the way on your thread I've been trying to download the "Videos" content. Maybe I'm doing it wrong but "Coming Soon to Theatres" doesn't seem to be there at all but with "Pre Show Entertainment" twice.

It's just the Google link...I summoned up the motivation to register with 4shared and that link had the correct file. Just a FYI!
