I came across this, and wasnt sure if it should be added here, but regardless Ill let you consider it since someone already wrote the code. Its for the next version of Trakt.tv (2.4.0), which is not yet released, but is committed on github.

I modded Confluence skin so It can use the new feature of context menu (github version) that nate just commited.
I added a button "Trakt.tv" at the side left menu. When you click on it the context menu appear. Works with Movie and Tv-show library

Added - Might need to tighten up on visible conditions, never used Trakt.tv - guess I'm going to have to have a look.

@Mudislander: what do you think about having the ability to hide the Favourites button (in the lower left corner) instead of / in addition to the Power button (for those of us that already have Favourites as part of the Home Menu) ?

Yeh, I've tried that one on my system & ran into problems with RSS feed. also need quite a bit of code to redirect focus directions - which is now why it jumps down to favourites button instead of power button as in earlier releases.

Ok, its not such a big deal, especially if it is a lot of code. Probably your 10 scrolling submenu items have solved this now for most people. There are plenty of other more important things on the list

quick one on the subject of the certifications/ratings. I'm in the uk and am having some issues. feel free to tell me to get lost if this isnt skin related. i have tried scraping with TMDB and with UNIVERSAL SCRAPER (and have both setup to use UK ratings.

Here's the issues:

Does it have to be called "MPAA rating"? i presume the MPAA is an american thing?

I think it would be cool if the user could edit some of these categories for example I would have

"IMDB Rating" instead of "Rating"
and I would have "Rated" instead of "MPAA Rating"

what do you reckon?

Alternative option would be to take them both out - Guess that would stir up some comments

BTW - if anyone doesn't like the look of the scrolling submenus - Then only have 5 submenu items

I tried disabling the power button, I didn't really think I needed it. But then I found I missed it on my tablet devices. And for family, etc, its blatantly obvious so avoids any confusion As much as possible I try to keep my gui like that for multiple users - everything obvious, or at most on the context menu (most non tech people are at least already used to 'right click for more options' from windows).

Sorry but was talking from memory as away on phone, but that is the one I thought you wanted. What about the "Show Video OSD Menu" toggle - which hides everything?

Yes, this option hides info bar in pause; but now even if I click "i" button it doesn't show the info bar! Can you please fix that?

Okay think we got it on next update. Disable "show video OSD" will hide OSD Menu & Info for remote users, but if keypress "i" info will show or "m" OSD menu will show

Hmm... Im not sure

I guess maybe just between the 'Paused' text and the 'Disc' Icon (or does something else also go there) ?

Some of the labels eg buffering % and translations go further across taking up that room.

As a thought, on the right of time bar, but can't get start time to go on left. could do elapsed time or remaining time though.

Other thought - do we need the label "Now Playing", do we not realise that Could remove it shuffle up Studio & Title then have end time above time bar, maybe in the middle ?

This sounds reasonable, although Im not sure if it will look 'odd' with the Title kind of hovering in mid air.

What about simply on the same line as the Title, but all the way at the end, above the total duration time?

Some titles go all the way to the end, but I've just found something that can give "video start time" it helps when you actually read the wiki every now and again.
So as a test will put start time & end time on the time bar & lets see how it works

Wont this make it hard when you want to seek or jump to a certain point if we do away with the existing time labels? For me personally I can do without end time, if it mean loosing existing functionality

I guess this is true, but then again I guess there are then also titles that are too long for the available space - what happens then? Do they scroll, or are they cropped? In either case wouldnt it be the same if you had the end time there?

Tried the seek bar & didn't like it, tried end right on title & didn't like it, tried bottom left under clear art & didn't like it.
Decided - Sorry guys, will stay as is - if you need end time press "i" for info.
Have not tried bottom right of plot panel - might work there but you'd have to enable plot on pause

That's a good idea, but what do you think about keeping studio and title in their places and just replace "Now Playing" with ending time?

Oh, PS: Can you add Music Genres, Recently Added Albums, and Recently Played Albums to the list of available Menu Items when you get a chance please ? THANK YOU
