My celeron is down to 55c in idle standing in menu using aeon nox. I3 on win8 doesnt show but im assuming its somewhere in thai range as well. For those wondering why I weren't happy with 70+ in idle its because of the fan going nuts when it reaches a certain degree. I put it to 81c and honestly it's super irritating when the fan goes bonkers. Actually my wife goes bonkers as wellSmile

New question; I might have missed something here but the celeron w openelec starts to flicker insanely when it goes to screensaver mode with either dim or black, epilepsy-mode. The other screen savers work. And it's no problem o. The i3 w win8. Anyone else had this issue?

Hi, guys!

I got the i3 Version. Unfortunately I'm not satisfied with the picture quality. Especially when watching BD movies I see shadow like artifacts...
I got a Samsung LCD from 2007 and no such problems when watching movies via my dreambox or a connected windows PC. Other than that I LOVE my nuc!

What are your settings for deinterlacing?

ok, I got the Simerec hooked up, the HD led isn't on anymore,... I resoldered a wire, and moved the ground over to one of the grounds on the USB connector.

Now to program it. but I'm slightly confused about this,...
Does one go to the Program Add-on for MCE remote inside XBMC and change one of the control codes,...
or Huh?
I have a standard MCE remote (rc6) plus I also have a Logitech Harmony one that I programmed via a thread here on the forum.

Something like

Hold down red button on simerec till it flashes.

Press the button on the desired remote that you want to associate with on/off.

Press red button.

Job done.

If you media content plays smoothly. Your settings are correct. There are no settings to adjust picture quality.

Try rolling back your graphics drivers. It's in the wiki.

Deinterlacing for progressive content like (90% of all bluerays) is non sense. Deinterlacing is used to compute a progressive frame out of (one (bob) ore more (temp / spat)) fields. Keep that setting on Auto.

and post a mediainfo of the affected file?
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

I have no issues reading the simerec instructions.
