I am new to XBMC and i am new to OpenSuse, i also do not have an account at the wiki and i do not know another url of that repository.
But someone else might correct the wiki.

Team Xbmc does not officially support opensuse and the instructions on the wiki are user content.
We provide our packages for ubuntu only.

If you want to provide it, provide it. We all work voluntarily on xbmc - if you want to sponsor something, especially time - you are free to do so.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

If it is okay for you if i leave other open source projects you might very likely use, i could do some stuff for XBMC.
But than don't ask, if the other Open Soure Software you use too, doesn't make a progress.
So to make it short. It's not my job, i am not a team member of XBMC, you are. So you should do, what should be done and is expected.
I do this, for the other projects too.

We also provide source code *hint*
Its up to distributions to package it properly, or do you see lots of OSS projects provide _binaries_ for every dist out there, or lsb for that matter?

if you care so much, make the changes and send a PR. again it's open source software you know.
we have more than enough work to do already.
besides Debian has other issues as they won't allow ffmpeg which we use.
Note:
demanding anything from us will get you no where.

I suggest you start hacking away to get a statically linked xbmc, that runs on every linux dist(or at least lsb) with the same features. You have no idea what you are actually asking.
