Basically I like it, except for the fact that they look completely different from the indicators in other views which doesnt't help consistency obviously. At first I used a colordiffuse to give them the same color as the indicators in the other views, but didn't really like that, I thought it looked too messy / busy.
Maybe I will go for using these indicators in the other views too but use a slight shadow on them (to help visibility on lighter posters and fanart), or use the current colors on them or something.
The ratings will probably become text based ones in the second line or be placed outside of the list. I never pay much attention to them anyway, but I liked the visual balance they brought to the list view.

Always those were very subtle, yet efficient to get a visual on what was new.I have the same sentiments as you about the current indicators. In views like Slide and Thumbnails where you browse by image they work fine.

Is this also possible when you pause a video? I always hated the fact the subs stay on screen, behind the osd.
