Working on getting unwatched / watching indicators in list view. Basically I like it, except for the fact that they look completely different from the indicators in other views which doesnt't help consistency obviously. At first I used a colordiffuse to give them the same color as the indicators in the other views, but didn't really like that, I thought it looked too messy / busy.
Maybe I will go for using these indicators in the other views too but use a slight shadow on them (to help visibility on lighter posters and fanart), or use the current colors on them or something.
The ratings will probably become text based ones in the second line or be placed outside of the list. I never pay much attention to them anyway, but I liked the visual balance they brought to the list view.

Is the intent that this is going to be in place of the flag that currently shows up in the corner of each image? Always those were very subtle, yet efficient to get a visual on what was new.

Hi Jeroen, when playing music the now playing section doesn't show the cd cover or fanart anymore?
And i like it that when a video is playing with subs, the subs do not show in your now playing screen.
Is this also possible when you pause a video? I always hated the fact the subs stay on screen, behind the osd.
edit: hmm nm, they do show sometimes in the now playing screen. Weird.

In the new wat you dont have to select a file to see if you have watched it... That also why ?

In views like Slide and Thumbnails where you browse by image they work fine.
In a List view however the current watched indicators aren't actually in the list itself, making it necessary to select the item before you can see the indicator. That's just not an effective way.
Placing the current indicators in the list view looks terrible. Visually the ones in the screenshot above integrate much better. Aside from that, they have the same style as the status indicators in the PVR views.
But like I said, the totally different styles is something I don't like. So I'm probably going to try to find some middle ground. Another solution could be keeping the current indicators in all views except List view, but then putting the symbols from the List view indicators into the coloured indicators.
Ultimately though, functionally something needs to change to the way indicators are handled in list view.

In all kindness, I personally do not like these icons view on list, it reminds me of the moons, icons time. Subtlety is better with icons on the posters can be compromise and find an equivalent for lists?

keeps the same icon view that Post! remains discreet, like a brand, a notch! I really like not the round in other skin, even if I make a change and I change things, there are things that I absolutely do not want to change because it is beautiful and different from all the other skins. icons shaped moon is a bad choice. after I know it is difficult for designers to find new nice things to see! .

A checkmark usually indicates something "done", so in this case to me it says "watched". Also, checkmarks is something you see in many other skins, so that kind of goes against what you said about that.
The symbols indicate something either unwatched or partially watched, like a circular pie chart, not a moon.
Maybe something like this could be an alternative
In the case of TV shows I could maybe put the number of unwatched episodes inside, although it may be too small.
Either way, what I am looking for is something that works both in list view and the other views.

Basically, you just don't like circles
I don't really see how using a battery like indicator would solve anything. It's not possible to show the actual progress of a video (like in %), and in slide or thumbnails view they would be just as difficult to see.
