I'm having an issue with audio from non-pass-through codecs such as AAC and MP2 (digital TV). It's work fine for months and then just stopped working. I haven't installed anything new or updating any drivers as far as I can tell. Anything works fine outside of XBMC and pass-through stuff works fine too.
I've tried the problem solving on page 1 which hasn't helped unfortunately. My spec is;
Intel NUC i5 Haswell (HD5000 graphics)
Windows 8.1
8GB Ram
125GB SSD Drive
Onkyo AVR
The issue started with 12.3 and I've updated to 13.0 with no change
Is there anything obvious I'm missing?

I'm having an oddity with video stuttering with only ONE of my titles. And was curious if anyone else had a similar issue. It's Muppets Most Wanted. It's one of the first rips I've made using the latest version of Handbrake which now supports PGS Subtitles. If it was something I absolutely needed subtitles, before I'd rip the subtitle track and then use MKVMerge to mix them together. It's also one of the only Blurays I've come across that uses DTS HRA and not DTS MA. So when I start playing the movie about 15 minutes in, there'll be a small framerate hiccup every few seconds noticed mostly when the camera pans.I fiddled with the rendering options suggested in this thread, but that made the audio completely out of sync. On a hunch (I found old threads about people having problem with PGS subtitles) I then tried using MKV Merge to remove the PGS Subtitle (as well an extra audio track I didn't need) and then it played fine!
Again, I have no idea if the latest Handbrake is to blame or if it's something weird with the audio engine (I noticed there's not even a media flag for DTS HRA. Also, I'm still on 12.3 so it's possible it's been fixed in the latest Gotham, I haven't bothered updating yet. Like I said, I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a problem like this?

Do you use handbrake because you want to encode your release or just to make it a media file ?
If it's the last give clownbd a try,
It's the main tool to rip Blu-Rays for making remuxs (untouched video and audio) with your choice of audio tracks and subtitles without the extras and menus.
And it works with PGS subs without any issues.

Hey guys,
I'm getting the stuttering issue.
I think the fix would be to have my audio set to analog (which would be right as I'm using speakers plugged in via analog) but the analog audio option isn't in the drop down at all? Little help?
All I have to pick is:
DIRECTSOUND: Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio)
DIRECTSOUND: Default
WASAPI: Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio)
WASAPI: Default
Every single one of the above causes occasional audio stutters
Not entirely sure what to do here

Audio settings seem sane.
In Video -> Playback try enabling "Sync Playback to Display" and select "Video clock (resample audio)"
