Can you explain what exactly this is? Does this mean I can mirror an active PseudoTV "box" to another?
I seem to be having an issue on my android devices that when I switch channels psuedotv live crashes back to xbmc.
In regard to adjusting the EPG to compensate for time zone, I got this friendly message from a Good Samaritan this morning that completely fixed my issues with the EPG being three hours off. Feel free to message me for more details.

Dumyat Wrote:Hi,
Saw your post about 3hr snyc issue with UStvNow plugin. Yes, very frustrating. Had this exact same issue ages ago when auto-tuning in PTVL. I got around the issue in the end by creating my own XMLTV file for US channels using the Mc2xml utility. This works for me at my location and everything now sync's perfectly in the EPG, so no reason why it shouldn't work for you.

Have attached everything you need for getting these US channels via my dropbox link below:-

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/98m16d3qgwhlu...J1s1UeIsoa

Then follow these steps:-

1) Place 'Mc2xmlUSA' folder and it contents to your C:\
2) Open 'Mc2xmlUSA folder and select file UpdateEPG
3) When the Mc2xml utility opens, enter zip coide 17101 and then open option 3 on the next screen.

This will then create an XML file called XMTV. The updateEPG Batch file is currently configured to only collect 3 days of listings, but you can extend this if you wish by right clicking on the file, opening with Notepad+ or Text document and changing the current number of hours (currently 72)

Place this file into the same directory location as your regular XMLTV file for your other channels, ensuring the names are different for each file, ie XMLTV, XMLTV1.

Your current channel ID's will also need to be changed for the current auto-tuned UStvNow channels on your settings2 file.

Change channel ID's to the following:-

A&E - I265.49591939.microsoft.com
ABC - I27.28460898.microsoft.com
AMC - I254.183427366.microsoft.com
Animal Planet - I282.179229320.microsoft.com
Bravo - I237.182414700.microsoft.com
Cartoon Network - I237.182414700.microsoft.com
CBS - I21.28459588.microsoft.com
CW - I15.28461494.microsoft.com
Discovery - I278.179229355.microsoft.com
FX - I248.182414698.microsoft.com
History - I269.177450823.microsoft.com
NBC - I8.28459340.microsoft.com
TNT - I245.27819970.microsoft.com
USA Network - I242.180623603.microsoft.com

Example of how UStvNow channels now have to be configured in your settings2 file for this method to work:-

<setting id="Channel_602_time" value="0" />
<setting id="Channel_602_1" value="I27.28460898.microsoft.com" />
<setting id="Channel_602_2" value="plugin://plugin.video.ustvnow/?name=ABC&mode=play" />
<setting id="Channel_602_3" value="XMLTV" />
<setting id="Channel_602_rulecount" value="1" />
<setting id="Channel_602_rule_1_id" value="1" />
<setting id="Channel_602_rule_1_opt_1" value="ABC" />
<setting id="Channel_602_changed" value="False" />

Important
Make sure you change each channel ID code as mentioned above.
Make sure you include the name of newly created XMLTV file

I have been using this method and configuration for over 7 months now and my EPG is sync's perfectly for all my US channels and I live in the UK and have never changed my time zone or anything.
Let me know how you get on and if this works for you. Hope everything is clear enough.
Hope this helps you out.
Well, that's me

I'm having issues with creating new channels. I attempted to create a new channel by tagging a few TV Shows using the Tag feature. Then I created a Smart Playlist that looks for matches to that tag. But when it tries to build that Channel, PseudoTV skips it. This happens on a couple channels I'm trying to create. One of said channels doesn't even use the Tag feature, but simply a Smart Playlist using Year conditions. So it's probably not an issue with the Tag feature. The channel I custom created for Movies works just fine. So it seems like the problem exists only for TV Shows. Any ideas?

Hi Luna..

I have 2 issues...

1) This might be a bug (or something I screwed up), but I upgraded to the most recent version from one a month+ ago...I have my xmltv file and libraries on a NAS with NFS share...

09:43:37 T:27816 ERROR: EXCEPTION Thrown (PythonToCppException) : -->Python callback/script returned the following error<--
- NOTE: IGNORING THIS CAN LEAD TO MEMORY LEAKS!
Error Type: <type 'exceptions.WindowsError'>
Error Contents: (123, 'The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect', 'nfs://192.168.1.137/volume1/Media/Temp/xmltv/xmltv.xml')
Traceback (most recent call last):

so, if I use a windows address to get to the same location, it parses, but I'd rather have everything using the NFS address

2) the autotune VEVO TV channels freeze...just a still picture...the VEVO plug in works fine by itself...is there some setting that is needed to make it work?

thanks for your help....

PM me your gmail, you will be added as a contributor to https://code.google.com/p/pseudotv-live-community/

This will be the home for a few lists that will build autotune channels. Unlike livestream that aggregated illegal direct streams, my list will primarily be made up of youtube channels, playlists and XBMC plugin configurations that work.

Your job... is to maintain the list! amend the lists... add, remove links. PseudoTV Live will build directly off these lists. Please try not to leech, if you have a working personal configuration... share with the community!

Hi Luna,
I've been trying for a while to get pseudotv live to work but after I install it and start it up it says, "unable to populate channels. Please verify that you have scraped media in your library and that you have properly configured channels." What did i do wrong? I have a shared library setup with MySQL.
Thanks for your help.
Hi Luna, I was wondering if you could maybe list the rule id's and what they actually do or point me to where I could find this information. It would really help me with setting a few things up in my settings2.xml file.

rules can be added to any chtype via channel manager after you configure the channel manually (only for my new chtypes 8 and up).

I believe milkman gives a break down of channel rules in his guide... I added a BCT exclusion rule for channels you don't want BCTs in...

Be sure to join my community list!! share your youtube, rss and plugin configurations Smile

Crowdsourcing it to the community, eh? Good idea!
Should we join if we don't have anything to contribute? Haha

I have the same question!

I don't really understand the scripting for channels, and it looks like it would be a good place to learn about it. I don't consider that "leeching".
Quick Links: debug log (wiki) | userdata (wiki) | advancedsettings (wiki) | adding videos to the library (wiki)
if you want to contribute all you have to do is find good channels on youtube and write down the channel name then post it lol. or find good rss feeds and do the same it's really easy.
Ok. I haven't really looked for channels on YouTube yet, I'll poke around and see what I can find Smile
