@Lunatixz Quick question, does the pvr backend not work with IPTV simple client? I have that set up on my macbook to test. Live TV works fine with that PVR but autotune does not pick up any PVR backend at all. Really odd. Nothing jumps out to me in the log http://pastebin.com/8DmMLt6V

No, IPTV simple client is based off a demo and doesn't appear to support json request, which is the heart of autotune...

Just wanted to update that:

1. chtype 9:
The following problem (quoted below) is solved by using smb:// method. Using a direct link (rtsp) doesn't work.
I noticed that when using the smb:// method, the link inside the strm is changed by XBMC.
Anyway, the link I used before for the video feed was broken, fixed it, now it works.

... tried to create a strm file that contains the rtmp link and direct the channel to read the file using smb method, like this:

I noticed that when opening PTVL and it opens the last channel which is a LiveTV (PVR) channel, I cant open EPG - it just opens for a second and closes and any channel flipping afterwards causing PTVL to exit.
* The only way to avoid it is to change to a different type of channel and then open the EPG.
** This happens only when I have different channel types. If my settings2.xml contains only PVR channels, this doesn't happen at all.

3. do you have background updating on? turn it off or on minimal... let me know if that solves your problem...

did you reboot xbmc? prompt states "VideoWindow Patched! XBMC Restart Required" if this doesn't fix your problem send me a log

Also remember you have to reapply the patch after changing skins for both XBMC and in pseudotv live

I rebooted a few times, toggled the setting on and off (rebooting in between) and still no video in the epg window. Also my channels have been starting over at the beginning.

you're running frodo... Super fav's and direct plugin chtypes is Gotham only...

oh... SuperFav ran on version 1.08 - again no import though

but when i updated to ran gotham, psuedotv would not work
the only way i could get psuedotv running is to roll back to FRODO

Lets talk in specifics, we are talking about PseudoTV Live correct?

PseudoTV doesn't support gotham

PseudoTV Live does, a matter of fact in this stage of the game it supports gotham more then it backward supports Frodo... not to say it doesn't run on Frodo...

Any idea what causing PTVL to hang XBMC when trying to exit XBMC? What are all those waiting on thread lines?

I downloaded the latest Dev branch to check out the new super fast EPG, but I can;t get PTVL to run right. When I start it is goes to the last channel but the overlay screen is stuck on and won't. I can't do anything except exit PTVL and even once back in XBMC the overlay screen is still visible and I can't go anywhere in XBMC. I even did a fresh install of PTVl and it does the same.

Here is a log. It is only a partial as the full log was to big for pstebin. I grabbed it from where it first mention PTVL so hopefully it is enough to see what's going on.

I had deleted the entire XBMC\userdata\addon_data\script.pseudotv.live folder only keeping the setings2.xml for my channel config. Although I just forced a full channel update and now that problem is gone. Go figure.

I am having two other issues now though. For one when I exit out of PTVL I am taken to a black screen rather than back to XBMC. If I click back on the remote I then go back to XBMC, but not sure why I have to do that. Second, After running PTVL, XBMC hangs when I try to exit XBMC. Here is the log:

Hard to answer when you remove your system specs from the log...you r running a few hundred channels if on a slower system it could take time for all the multi Threading tasks to finish then time to write to file. I highly doubt it locked up... just really slow exiting
