[OLD/CLOSED] PseudoTV Live - Set-Top box solution
(2014-07-14, 21:50)ryanmcclure Wrote: Hey Luna, I found an interesting bug. I have a few channels that are rtmp streams saved in a .strm file. Every time I play the .strm file in PTVL, the following is appended to the end of the file:

Code:
/storage/.xbmc/addons/script.pseudotv.live-master/resources/skins/Default/images/PTVL_INTRO.mp4

Any ideas as to what's going on?

Yes it's a strm fallback, for whatever reason your rtmp streams are failing a rtmpdump check, make sure you properly setup your operation system in PTVL's settings. If you beelieve its a false postive and you really hate the addition you can disable by using "overide stream check" under misc.... but remember this feature was setup to help avoid PTVL hanging on dead links...

My OS is set as Raspberry Pi in settings. Hmm...It's really no big deal, I just wasn't sure if this was an indication of something worse. Thanks Luna for talking me through what's going on "under the hood".

I set the IP on the main PTVL instance, then when i run PTVL it should auto start sending the video to the defined xbmc IP?

If thats the case, i did that and nothing happened?

You need to make sure you enabled webserver on the client... do not try and change the port to 9090! setup User/Pass and make sure that info matches PTVL's setttings...

Ah you mean do NOT change port from 9090. Cheers.
Also, quick question--should the intro video only be played on the first time? Or should it play every time PTVL is started?

First load and every force channel reset.

No matter what I've tried, I cannot update to the latest developmental version. I'm stuck on 0.4.6. It prompts me to update to 0.4.7 but it gets stuck. After reading the last few pages, I've tried the following:

1. Uninstall PTVL from XBMC
2. Verify script.pseudotv.live-developement folder is removed from addons folder
3. Manually delete pseudotv folder from userdata/addon_data folder.
4. Remove my PseudoTV link from my homepage in Nox.
5. Reboot XBMC
6. Install latest developmental version download by clicking the Download Zip link here.
7. Reboot XBMC again.
8. Add link back to homepage and run. Boom it asks me to upload 0.4.7 and gets stuck with the new features page.

Debug log here

THANK YOU!

I don't know if this has any effect, but I forgot another thing I did, after uninstalling PTVL and removing its folder from the userdata directory.

Go to .xbmc/addons/packages. Inside that folder is a zip file of every addon installed. I deleted the PTVL zip file in that folder as well. Then rebooted and installed the new version. Might be worth giving a shot.
I have the pseudoTv Live for some rason it didnt update and it is stuck on " updating channel 1 waiting for file lock". I even tried cancelling it and its still stuck.
Found a weird bug that causes PseudoTV Live to stop building channels... if you have "script.module.myconnpy" installed on your system remove it...

If I create a .strm file with multiple links, for example

Quote:hdhomerun://11115FBE-0/tuner0?channel=t8qam64:618000000&program=28032
plugin://plugin.video.someplugin/?url?somechannellink

and I change to a chtype 8 in PTVL and the hdhomerun link is down, would it auto try the second plugin link before doing the fallback to another channel?
@Lunatixz - what setting do I configure to get the 2020, white collar and eagleheart (wtf is eagleheart?) in the open space here?

edit - also I have a few live tv chans that never change, the music choice ones, that always list the same thing "genre music". going to see if I can set a rule to never update the guide data for them. have not messed with rules yet.

Can you post here the settings of this channel from your settings2.xml ?
i think that's where i get lost don't know what to add make it work

i have read this :
YoutubeTV:
REQUIRES XBMC YOUTUBE ADDON

Channel/User Upload Example:
Code:
<setting id="Channel_#_type" value="10" />
<setting id="Channel_#_1" value="MotorTrend" />
<setting id="Channel_#_2" value="1" />
<setting id="Channel_#_3" value="#" />
<setting id="Channel_#_4" value="0" />
<setting id="Channel_#_changed" value="True" />
<setting id="Channel_#_rulecount" value="1" />
<setting id="Channel_#_rule_1_id" value="1" />
<setting id="Channel_#_rule_1_opt_1" value="MotorTrend - User Upload" />

and still get lost

I know how the examples in posts 1-2 looks like...
Just go to this folder - XBMC\userdata\addon_data\script.pseudotv.live , there is settings2.xml - open it and copy here the settings of this specific channel you're having trouble with.
You need to provide details / logs if you want the developer or community to help you crack it down. Cool

that's my problem . the example in post 1-2 are not clear... where can i find a working example of settings2.xml with a youtube channel added .... thank you for your help
