Release P2P-Streams - SopCast and AceStream for Kodi
Hi enen92
I am following you for long time and thanks for all info
this is my first post send here
after updated my units to new version all android TV-Box Amlogic CPU works fine with Ace player, they run with better quality and do not need to change cache limit same as previous AceStream player but there is minor issue that the HD channels quality will stopped to play most time?!!

But I could not play Ace player on my TV-Box with RK3188 CPU (like as CS918 device), if I open channel with Ace player it only keep saying please wait...
also on this unit when stop player then XBMC will restart?!! (this happened for both Ace Player and Soapcast
not sure if there is any settings to change for this issue?
Restart your box or make sure any engine is not running at the same time (in your android settings/applications force kill acestreamengine.apk if it is there. If it still gives you the same error, restart the box (maybe you have the builtin engine running). The aceplayer can only associate with the engine they ship. Basically if you have another one running (either the apk or the addon builtin engine) the connection port is being used and aceplayer can't start its own engine (nor associate to other).

As for HD streams they require more brandwith and aceplayer has hardware acceleration disabled by default (if supported at all on your SOC). Note this is really out of the scope of this addon, it's an external application I have no knowledge about.
installed this and all is well. However the timezone still seems to be off even after setting it in Addon Settings.

Any idea whats going on?
Hi

First of all, great work!
The plugin works perfect on my Pi with Sopcast links, however running Acestreams with debug mode on I get the following log with any link I try:

Port 8621 is open, Acestream for Windows runs smoothly. Any suggestions?
enen92 thanks
tried what you said to force kill all but did not help
in Ace player settings when changed Hardware Acceleration from Automatic to Decoding then it will play channel only for first time and only for 10 seconds then nothing!

Which is the platform you're running the addon on? Make sure you're using the latest version.

It doesn't happen with "any" acestream links, just a few of them. Basically the stream has to be compatible with older versions of the acestreamengine (which the addon is using). The info is encrypted and the engine is now closed source...
It's a known issue.

I can't help you out with that. Must likely you don't have brandwith for that or the stream is just rubish. Probably a good idea to look for support in acestream forum (forum.torrentstream.org).

Im running it on Amazon Fire TV. And I pulled the add-on straight from the XBMC addon Installer.
What is xbmc installer? Never heard of that before...

I,guess it's the fusion where it hosts the repoHuh?
Ah..I see what you mean now.
And no, it is not pretty cool...it's basically the opposite. A simple rule of thumb: anything made to make your life easier or to save you from understanding how xbmc works...will make your life harder.

The xbmc python api doesn't provide any way for you to install addons. What that thing is doing is basically downloading the addon zip (and I assume the repository zip?) to your addons folder and unzipping it. That's not the way addons are installed in xbmc.
There are bunch of dependencies advertised in the addon addon.xml which are only pulled from xbmc.org official repository if you install the addons the proper way. In this case, pytz (python timezones) is one of them. Without it, timezones will not work.

So, stop using "addon installers" or wizard things. Addons or xbmc are not magically configured for you.

How to install addons from a zip file --> http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=HOW...a_zip_file
How to add 3rd party repos to xbmc --> http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=Unofficial_a...positories

PS: Probably not supported here but...no problem with fusion. It's just a server hosting 3rd party addons and 3rd party addon repositories. If you want to escape the "trouble" of downloading/putting the repository zip into your android box. You can install the repository via zip file from fusion. Just don't use any other tools to achieve such a simple process.

So where is this python timezone part then?

Everything else I've downloaded from XBMC add-on installer etc.. works perfectly fine.

FYI, the timezone setting works for me correctly. After setting it up, try to exit and restart xbmc to see if it works for you

It's not hard to learn how to install the addon from zip file. In my opinion, one should learn and know how to do it. Xbmc does support SMB which makes addon installation even easier. Download the zip into your pc/laptop, as long as it's shared on the network and xbmc can prompt to it, just browse to zipfile to install it.
The timezone works for me. After making changes,'don't forget to save by clicking at OK.
Also try to exit and restart xbmc to,see if it works for you
I have the latest version of the addon

I don't have any channels though, only "Sopcast.org.list"
this has a few channels that don't have any discription.
