I had to remove the repository because I have been notified by Google that it allegedly infringes upon the copyrights of others.

To be honest my motivation to continue the development of this add-on was low to begin with and this is kind of a killing blow. It doesn't really matter if the request was justified or not. I don't want to invest more time into this. This also means that I won't create a GitHub repository.

I'm sorry that I have to let everyone down. There are a lot of talented people here in this thread that are more than capable to develop a better add-on.

As far as I'm concerned, this is without any doubt in my mind the most frustrating aspect of programming these days. Any random person can, for pretty much any random reason (valid or not), assert a copyright (or in some cases a patent) claim over your code in what amounts to just a couple of clicks.

Thanks for putting in the work to get this add-on working. I can say with certainty that at the very least, myself and my brother greatly appreciate it!

I pushed the project to Github. No changes at all so far and I don't have anything setup to easily add to XBMC.

Just installed it and it also keeps asking me for my login credentials....If I switch over to my browser I can login no problem. And no I do not have a Rogers login....just a plain nhl.com one.

Select the Rodgers login in the add-on settings.

Since it's a rewrite job, I wouldn't add it to the same repo, just wouldn't make sense. You would want to create another repo for your version.

You could backup then copy/replace the following 2 files over the carb0s version 7 to try my mod.

1) copy default.py to XMBC/addons/plugin.video.nhl-gamecenter

2) copy strings.xml to XMBC/addons/plugin.video.nhl-gamecenter/resources/language/English

To reverse back to the original version, just copy back the 2 files you backup.

As we now don't have the repo for this addon. I also provide the plugin.video.nhl-gamecenter-0.7.1_e.zip which include my mod for new user able to install this addon from zip file.

The main objective of this mod is able to play those games having French feeds. So far, I observe that French feeds only have max 4500kbps for live games and 3000 kbps for archive games.

The bonus for using this mod is you truly don't need credentials in order to watch archive games, only LIVE games need credentials.
It's up to NHL to let people watching free archive games or not. Otherwise, they could protect their archive games similar as live games which is required credentials to watch.

I've also changed the way how to build the link for the live games which is now delay until we click the link to download. Addon will now try to authenticate and get the live link using your NHL credentials. You will see a dialog having message like 'Opening stream...'.

I also fixed couple of script errors when running on Android XBMC.

As you know I'm learning python + XBMC while doing this mod so to make it easy for me, I only change 1 file for now otherwise it might take more time for me to learn deeply into python + XBMC to make it cleaner. Another thing is the way I get data for my mode (using Json) as well as UI directories/links are different from Carb0 version, so it will be harder to merge with Carb0's code. However, if anyone with more knowlegde about python + XBMC could try to improve and put those together as I don't want to spend a lot of time for this mod/addon.

So after all of this, what is the addon i should download to watch NHL games?

Also, im not a programer, so if i am on a rasp pi how do i edit the addon code when there are problems/fixes?
