Thank you for this easy to follow tutorial.
I wonder if this app could also be used to control kodi on a pc which is not in your local network. In this case the IP number would have to be the public IP and the port would have to be forwarded. Any idea if this would work? I am asking this for the case of an elderly handicapped person that lives far from her relatives.
