[OLD/CLOSED] PseudoTV Live - Set-Top box solution
Do you have any plan to filter out channels based on type such as sports,youtube,drama. Lets say i have youtube channels,sports channels, drama type channels. I just want to show sports channels only on the EPG instead of all channels.

It would be better if you let the user create their own category of the channels that way it will be more flexible. Of course, it is just an idea that i hope you will consider.

Thanks

Seems repetitive, why wouldn't you just enter 200 on your remote??

If I'm watching something in the background it allows me to jump around the guide quickly to see whats playing on another channel without having to change channels.

For example, if I'm on channel 999 and just want to see whats playing or coming up on 500 I have to go into the guide and scroll all the way up.

So you are talking about the EPG, suggestions were asked for the sidebar. Smile

Sorry. Should have been more specific. Ya its for the EPG. The sidebar conversation is going to be long because it looks really good. It was either suggest in the middle of it all or wait until a lot later. Smile
Just started to use this and learn how things work with it. Really nice work you have done.

I'm loving this plugin on my RaspBMC. I'm having a bit of trouble though with autotune. I'm using entirely offline content at the moment so I've disabled any internet-based sources for autotune. The first half of autotune on startup works fine, but when it finishes building the channel list and starts to populate the channels with content before the first run, the first couple channels proceed to have 25 videos added, but when it gets to channel 3, I get..

PseudoTV Live - 3%
Updating channel 3
adding Videos
added 2 entries

And it gets stuck there. Hitting cancel does not seem to work, or at least not within 30-60 minutes. A reboot is required. Eventually I worked out that I could disable or remove channel 3 and the process continued up to channel 18 (Nickelodeon). It got stuck again, so after that I removed channel 18 and up just to get things working and after that it worked fine. If I try to leave it to finish scanning on its own over night, it doesn't make any progress.

I don't have the debug logs on me now, but I couldn't really see anything super interesting. script.pseudotv.live-master/config.py logged periodic "waiting for thread..." and "FileLock: refreshLocks entries were all I could really see in there.

Happy to post logs later, just wondering if this is a really common issue and I just need to flip a setting somewhere?

Things I noticed:

1) Chtype should be 15.

2) Value "2" are your exclusions and should all be separated by commas (no spaces before or after commas).

Here are my two working VEVO channels:

<setting id="Channel_91_type" value="15" />
<setting id="Channel_91_1" value="plugin://plugin.video.vevo_tv" />

<setting id="Channel_92_type" value="15" />
<setting id="Channel_92_1" value="plugin://plugin.video.vevo_tv" />
<setting id="Channel_92_2" value="VEVO TV (US: Hits),VEVO TV (US: Flow),VEVO TV (Germany),Custom (All videos),Custom (Live videos),Custom (Playlists),Custom (Artists)" />
<setting id="Channel_92_3" value="1" />
<setting id="Channel_92_4" value="0" />
<setting id="Channel_92_changed" value="False" />
<setting id="Channel_92_rulecount" value="1" />
<setting id="Channel_92_rule_1_id" value="1" />
<setting id="Channel_92_rule_1_opt_1" value="VEVO Country" />
Not all chtypes have to be 15. Wink the first few channels use direct links, so chtype 9 is correct.

Hey Luna, I'm having an issue with the latest version. Before it starts up it is downloading two files, one that is 2.3MB in size and another that is 2.35MB, is this normal? It then completely disregards some of my settings (background building I have turned it off, but it turns it on). I re-set my settings, and same things happened. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing, but no change. Is this an issue you're aware off or would you require a log file?

As always, keep up the great work mate.

EDIT: Oh boy do I feel a fool. I'd accidentally turned set top box mode on, which was causing this to happen. It's now working as I want it too (with my original settings). Oh well lol, chalk this one down to pure stupidity Smile
Hi, I am a big fan of the product and I am of the few user who ever had any problem with PseudoTv Live. Until Now. So, If you could help me a bit, that would be great. I am having the 'Pseudotv.py' failed error.

Now, I know the reason behind the problem but I sadly have no idea how to fix it.

Pseudotv was working fine in the morning. But then I installed the application 'Sickrage', along with Python 27 and Cheetah and followed the instructions as pointed in the instructions here : Sickrage Windows Instructions

And it is after that I am having trouble with Pseudotv. Here is the XBMC log , I can see the term sickbeard here and there in the log, so I guess its associated with some fault from my end

It would be really great If u can tell me how to remedy it. Thank you.

Looks fantastic. Customisable? SuperFavourites button, therefor we can create our own on demand as we see fit?

No, not customisable, Ondemand pulls your regular video menu.

Would you like Favorites and Super Favorites?
PVR recordings would be nice to have on this menu, since most people would want to watch the shows they are following in order/when they want. It would remove the need to scan recordings into the library. Thoughts?
