What is the status of installing this App from the Amazon App Store onto a Amazon Fire TV?
I can't figure out if it's really available for download or if it still needs to be sideloaded.
Regards.

I am running SPMC 13.3.3 on the Fire TV and libstagefright is not working. I have disabled mediacodec and enabled libstagefright and I only get software decoding with x264 HD content. With 13.3.2 I did not have this problem. Does this happen to anybody else?

Hmm, snap! Explains my recent issues with hd with mediacodec off. Rolled back to 13.3.2 and it works.

Confirmed. Will be solved in 13.3.4.

Hello, Koying. Just wanted to say thank-you for building and maintaining SPMC. I got serious about cord-cutting and moving to a HTPC setup a couple of months ago, bought two AFTVs, and then started evaluating XBMC and forks.
SPMC has by far been the most stable and functional build for my setup so far, and I hope you continue to update it. For reference I use the SPMC 13.3.3 launcher version, on pre-rooted AFTV FW 51.1.4.0, with the Xposed framework and rbox's FireTV mods installed. I've also settled on Eminence after trying many different skins.
There was one issue I found that I'd like to run by you and others on the forum. The 13.x Gotham release introduced a feature that lets SPMC directly launch Android apps and then return to SPMC on exit. However, I noticed the SPMC shutdown timer (from the Power Saving menu setting) continues to run in the background while the Android app is active. In my SPMC settings, I've configured a 5-minute shutdown timer to put my box in suspend mode. What this means is that when I launch Hulu Plus from SPMC and watch a video, my FTV suspends itself every 5 minutes and has to be woken with a key press.
Is it possible for SPMC to temporarily suspend this timer when launching an Android app, and enable it when the app exits? Would a change like this make sense for XBMC/Kodi in general?
Thanks again for all your efforts.

I'm confused by 'libstagefright' and 'mediacodec'. Koying, is the intention is what you're about to release (13.3.4) that we be able to leave both enabled? Vs. just 'libstagefright'? Thanks.
Basically, what I'm asking is what should settings be left at for mpeg2 and h.264 use? Until now, I only had 'libstagefright' enabled as advised in various forums posts.

I can't find xbmc / kodi on the plays tore for my android smartphone, so I take it I should be using SPMC instead?
