I'll try and improve the logic of the videowindow patcher... but it's a hacky patch... I'd rather see skinners add the support so I wouldn't have to patch their skins.

Videowindow Patcher is a two part process, my local PseudoTV Live skin needs a patch, but a file also needs to be placed into XBMC's skin folder...

if skinners included that file, it would make life easier...

Custom skin "Titian.new" updated including the new improvements.(great work! Lunatixz)
So,there is the new sidebar and also added the default xbmc rss ticker(you can select whatever rss feed you like).I use one that displays my latest entries in my xbmc library.
Also made minor fixes in artwork and multiimage changing colors(thanks to @ARYEZ and his great skin aurora)

I know it's possible with favorites, but I would want a direct link to PVR recordings. It would just be more seamless to go directly to recordings. Also, recent episodes/movies?

I haven't noticed it, but I'm sure it causes Android devices etc to take a hit. I think I'll remove those animations. I'm glad you brought it up.

The slow down is noticeable on a pretty fast i7 PC. Its because each animation has to complete when called... Before moving onto the next image.

As for sidebar, I'm worried a reset button would be over used... So we can leave resetting to settop or automatic mode.

Agree on both points. It's just bad design to deliberately cause a delay when cycling through the EPG.

As for the sidebar it would be super cool if you could switch skins on the fly... somehow I don't think that's actually possible, but if you're looking for a wishlist, toss that on there.

Have you tried adding a delay? not sure if it will actually delay the transition from starting... but worth a shot.

There is also ability to add delays preceding the transistions. For instance

Code:

<animation effect="fade" time="200" delay="200">Hidden</animation>

would mean that the control will fade out after a delay of 200ms. This is useful for "crossfade" effects, where you want the new control to fade in while the old control is still on screen (and then fade the old one out once the new one is completely opaque).

A nice feature would be "more episodes" or something. So, if I'm watching Breaking Bad, it will do the ondemand thing, but show that show specifically.

I'm not really sure what on now does. At one point, it showed me the last thing I searched for in an addon. Now, its blank.

I would use favourites more if it was a favourite channel listing. Or better yet, a profile button. That way, I could set a few profiles up with only certain channels. Kids channels for my daughter's profile, reality etc for the wife. If something like that were done, a default profile choise in config would be useful.
