The latest dev build 0.5.6d fails on Kodi. Both on the RC and v.14 (just to be clear 0.5.6c ran just fine on Kodi since at least RC2)

default.py line 20 fails, claims there is no module named Buggalo Sad

Running on Android. If you need a full log, let me know.

Also https://github.com/twinther/script.module.buggalo appears incompatible with Kodi. ## Update works fine but needs to be installed manually ##

u need to manual install... script.module.buggalo, I'll update first post...

Works fine in Helix... I'm running final version just fine.

Yup runs like a champ over here on Helix. I just wanted to alert you before the flood of "broken" complaints come pouring in.

For me, it says PseudoTV Live is already running. So I went and installed it manually, and now it says that when I launch Kodi on its own.

Thanks, I would hope users using the development branch... would be able to get around the issue... like u did... it's an easy fix, that won't make its way into stable Wink

BTW I recommend all users install my repo found in post 1, I'm making changes to the way PTVL updates, and for now on the Stable build will update through repo, not auto update. Only the Development branch will use auto update in the future....

What can I tell you? That's what popped up, I'm as confused as anyone.
EDIT: I deleted both PTVL, AND the buggalo script, and installed manually. Now it just fails.

This is so freaking infuriating. I wiped the whole script, settings in program files and in appdata or useredata. Nothing remains of PTVL......
I install it fresh from the repo. Same thing. Wipe it again and use the dev branch zip, same thing.
BTW, this is on Windows.

Just because Marshall came and made a preemptive post that it works for him, doesn't mean something can't still be wrong.

LOL... In all these steps how many times did you reboot xbmc or the device you're running it on?

Sounds like you need to go back to basics...

True but it sounds like you have an installation problem and honestly Lunatix is pretty careful not to release broken scripts. That doesn't mean there is no chance of something being wrong, it's happened before, but you'll have to provide more details and a log. Just stating that you tried to install it and now doesn't work isn't helpful.. That and the other fact that you're running the dev branch on an unofficially supported version of XBMC (Kodi) means your running the risk of being an unsupported pioneer in the land of broken code. In which case, if you feel uncomfortable, you should go back to a non-development version on a supported version of XMBC. You'll get more help there anyway.

It rebooted once because it said XBMC needed to restart...........XBMC, not the whole system! Confused
So whatever yeah, at least I can say I rebooted Windows. Huh

How much more back to basics can I get? Wipe out the whole machine?
It all worked until I installed Kodi v14 Final today.

Lunatixz SAID it worked. That's why I got the dev version.
Hi,

I have just tried running PTVL on Helix final and noticed on my normal settings2 my directory channel was missing. So I tested further by creating a channel lineup with just 3 channels.

channel 1: Directory based channel
Channel 2: Tv Genre based
Channel 3 Movie Genre Based

Channel 1 skips
The rest build fine with the exception that the BCT's do not work. I have it set to play trailers from a local source. But it is ignored. Same with Bumpers.

Here is a LOG

I then tried building with autotune and had the same results as far as local directory based bumpers and trailers not showing up.

LOG

I have tried deleting my old settings file and re-inputting with a fresh settings file, but it had no effect.

I was wondering if it is a bug or indeed something wrong with my setup somehow. Bear in mind everything worked flawlessly on Gotham. I hope the logs can shed some light.

I don't recall an instance where code was pushed with a note attached that said "Come and get it, I haven't tested this at all, it's probably broken because I worked on it with the lights out and good luck suckers". Rofl

P.S. It works for me... like a BEAST.
OK, so last time.

I wiped every single instance of PTVL. Rebooted Windows. I used the repo to get v0.5.0. Installed fine, then wanted to update first go. I denied it.
v0.5.0 ran fine. Exited XBMC and relaunched. Updated as it wanted, it ran fine. Even configured how I wanted. All good.
Manually updated the buggalo script. Reran PTVL, also fine.
Exited XBMC. Backed up every instance of PTVL into RAR files.
I rebooted for the fun of it. Went back in the config section, picked development. It updates to v0.5.6d. Exited XBMC and rebooted.
Launch XBMC, and as its coming up, it gives me an error about PTVL script failing.
I dunno.......will post a log. HERE: http://pastebin.com/uhvPy4i9

EDIT: Lastly, I happened to have a dev zip from the 12th, installed that manually, ignored any request to update, and it works again.
