Custom widgets using submenu as content work on only one of three main menu tiles I have them on and then the movies widget starts off with a blank icon/space.
I going to do a little more testing to see if I can create a new menu tile and a new custom widget for it to see what happens.

Thanks you for extended testing, please let me know the results.
Maybe I have to create some sort of import of old settings because now that I think of it I'm pretty sure that old custom widget assigments are lost with this beta update.

FYI: The movies widget has a blank item for the first slot - not sure if this is tied to the helper 1.4.0/1.4.3 confusion or a glitch in the skin 3.2.19

Yeah, fixed that allready. was a little bug in the .19 version.

Ok - Live TV main tile which did not have a widget previously assigned now has one (assuming it's the built in one) - blank content but I use Simple IPTV PVR with a live stream file that simulates live TV so I would expect odd behavior possibly but the widget seemed to just appear.


I went into the menu setup and set to "none" and it is still active - strangely the skin shortcuts rebuild did not kick in after that single change.

The three built in widgets I use weather, movies and TV seem to work fine sans then movies first blank slot issue.

All my custom widgets 4 of them using submenu for content and one using addon for content no longer display.

I created a new main menu tile and set its widget to use submenu items as widget and it does not work - displays nothing not even the widget background nor do I see the usual up arrow on main tile to indicate a widget is available.

Oddly enough after a skin shortcuts rebuild from creating the new main menu tile the live TV widget still remains even after I selected "none"

And even more strange is one of my previous use submenu items as widget is working - but just one of them.

Not sure how that happened.

Please note - I don't know what version of the helper I am using since its in an endless update loop from the beta repo still (does the helper impact widgets in any way?)

You may want update the repos helper"s addon.xml version to match the version of the zip downloaded from the repo.

Let me know what additional testing I can do for you.

Thanks for all your extended testing. Looks like there's some work to do for me.
Is it possible for you to send me your script-skinshortcuts-includes.xml file ?
That's the file that's generated by skinshortcuts and contains your homescreen setup.
You may send this by PM, no problem'

In my own setup I did a "reset shortcuts" and it's working fine but now I can't reproduce your situation with content from the previous version migrated to the new :-)
What I basically did is removing the widget-assignments from the skinshortcuts script because that's what was causing the slow menu building and now I store the preferences in the skin itself.
The helperscript is used for that for shouldn't impact your behaviour (I hope). I'll look at the addon.xml, thanks for the catch.

FYI I see you updated the beta repo copy of the helper script but now:

Loving this skin, just found it after installing kodi. =)

Is there anyway to get a buffer bar in the video progress bar so when you f.e press info when playing a menu you can see how much far ahead you buffered on youtube or any other streaming addon. This whould be the icing on the cake.

In latest beta (and soon available in the stable version) are new list views: low list and big list that do exactly what you wish.

New version pushed to the stable repo and will be available within the next few days:

Does anyone know where the 'media details panel opacity' code is located in the xml file? Tried messing with it in the appearance section and it only cycles through once so you get stuck on the last number and can't change it.

Guisettings.xml is what you need in xbmc user data folder, that's where all settings are located.
Just open the file in text editor and search for opacity... Fill in a value by hand.

Is there a bug in the skin?
