Kodi 14.0-0 constantly showing as Cydia update
#1
Having installed Kodi 14 using Cydia, it keeps showing as an available update event though the available version matches the installed version. See image:

Any ideas on how to get this to go away?

I have the same problem, both on iPhone and iPad, both recently updated to iOS 8 and a first install of Kodi.

So glad it's not just me. I disabled the update notice in Cydia because the update notice was driving me crazy!! Hopefully it will be resolved quick. Thanks to everyone working on it.

i can reproduce the issue but not solve it - i asked our debian dev (cydia uses the debian package system) and everything looks fine on our side - there is no reason why it does detect the update everytime. Consider this a cosmetic issue and just trust version numbers instead of the update indicator...

It seems to be doing the same thing on the ATV2 (except without Cydia)

This is the same - there is no cydia app on the atv2 - but the whole basics are the same (debian packaging system)...

i fixed the problem i think...

Hello, i stumbled upon this forum because i was searching how to solve : "cydia keeps showing updates" even after updating the packages.

So would you help me to understand ?

I have my own repo, with a filter on UDID.
At the moment i have only one package, that i can download on the device without problems.

The only thing is that it keeps showing the same package update again and again Smile

So do you know where is this coming from ? Bad Packages (or bz2) file ?

Thanks

Alexis

the package meta info in the repo is different from the metainfo in the package itself ... (that was the case for kodi - installed-size was missing from the repo package file but was present in the package itself).
